Yep, and that makes it outrageously expensive on the secondary market. Thankfully, the black tip stuff isn't actually needed to do the job; there are a number of other, less expensive loads which independent tests have shown will work just fine.

I think he has killed himself. He threw away a loaded magazine in San Diego, and then left two rifles and cold weather gear in the torched truck. He went out into the middle of nowhere and hopes his body is never found. That way all the people he mentioned in his manifesto will forever live in fear.

He probably loaded what he could on a motorcycle he had stashed. Full helmet with dark face shield. Betcha he's watching cops trudge around in the snow on TV while drinking beer and getting a massage. Wait for something spectacular like LA City Hall blowing up.

harry, sure i read his manifesto (or at least what is purported to be his manifesto) and that is exactly why he is crazy. Asymmetrical, in his case, seems to be getting even with people other than those who "did you wrong" -and it is immoral. his ego is out of check--he got fired, for crying out loud.

how are you better than the "bad guy" when you become a "bad guy"? he may think his life was "ruined", but a dead girl's life is over.

You know, I read the craziness posted on a lot of sites by lefties and it's just absolutely insane what those people believe. Far too many times in recent years I've wondered how many people on both sides are thinking, "Let's do it. Just get the damned civil war started and make those bastards fair game."

Think about it honestly. How many politicians or media or celebrities can you think of whose death by firing squad would please you? I'd say there isn't a politically aware person in the U.S. whose list doesn't run to at least 20.

I have no idea what to think about this whole situation. The whole thing stinks to high heaven on many different levels.

The shooter: Must be atleast a little nutz to be able to kill family of of alleged perpetrators that committed crimes against him... Normal people do not do this. You have rage against said person and normaly trying to be hostile to this extent to the family will cause the person to not be able to pull the trigger and if for some reason they do it usually causes a ton of trauma as you knowingly just killed someone in cold blood to get back at someone else. My conclusion is that if he was not insane at the begining, he is now.

The LAPD: These guys are shooting at ghosts and either want him dead so he cannot testify, or are so scared they are completly dangerous to ANYONE they are trying to 'protect". Anyone knows if you have a trigger happy nervous person in your unit, stay away from that person because he could kill you by accident at any given moment because he isnt taking into account regular safety precautions. ALso what was the trigger event? The LAPD has "no idea" of what caused him to snap? Either they are hiding something (which is possible) or the shooter is entirely justified in his claims against them and had no other means to get back at them.

This to me looks like both sides of this story completely suck. warfare that includes innocent women and children never ends well. Both sides end up doing terrible things and the more desperate the fighting gets, the worse the things they do. No one wins in this scenerio. The LAPD are now reaping what they have sown for many years as they cannot trust civilians to help them because of all the crimes they have committed in the past and have been "above the law". These are symptoms of a crumbling society that is on the brink of collapse.

Beware who you support in this guys. It looks to me like both sides have blood on their hands and neither side to be supported until further information is released. However the LAPD has a **** ton to answer for and I am sure hey never will either. This guy does not seem to be the "hero" we are all looking for to join sides and start a just cause.

The burning of the truck makes no sense unless a diversion. Big bear is bound to be full of pickups on a ski weekend. It could have sat for days before someone reported it. Seems he wanted it found. He may chillin in compton and nobody there is gonna turn him in. They are looking for a 270 lb black guy. So far piggies have shot 2 asian women and a white surfer dude. Stellar work

I suggest you think about this and what happens when it becomes 1000x. This is what Karl has been warning about and we're watching it unfold. When at war only winning matters and the end justifies the means. Just ask the Japanese. He did more harm by killing one girl then if he had killed 100 LEO. How many LAPD are now questioning if a paycheck is worth the life of a family member? New recruits? How well are they sleeping? Why didn't leadership do the right thing? And...

I don't condone this man's actions, just expected it and much more like it to come. Prepare accordingly...
