Unfortunately, the good men don't have an air force or navy, or an armored division, drones, or nuclear arsenal. The only way this doesn't end badly is if the government simply gives up under political pressure. Lots of good men will be dead or in jail otherwise. It's more important to keep their political feet to the fire than to actually rise up in armed rebellion.

I imagine he had to actually refrain from making eye contact because the emotion would then overcome him.

Pika, His daughter is in the 5th grade at Sandy Hook. His daughter was in lockdown but was NOT murdered or injured.
Matters not as his families involvement gives him all the credentials needed for me to listen to.

He still feared for her life though, and I loved his comments. He basically gave the best reasoned speech for home-schooling in my opinion.
I think the libtard anti-gunners have pushed too hard, too fast this time. They've not recognized it yet, but they will. And then I see a headline that the campaigner-in-chief is, what else, campaigning for his gun fascism today in Minnesota. This man STILL knows nothing about BEING the president; he just continues to campaign because that's ALL he knows!

Hey Steph, I'm not sure that his child was killed, but rather he mentions that the younger sister of one of his daughter's classmates was. But I could be wrong...
I for one am just glad that he spoke these specific words in front of a legislative body. Whether or not he made eye contact is irrelevant to me. I'd much rather the words be heard without eye contact than not heard at all.
Briar, the assumption that your comment makes is that those folks in the navy, etc. will do whatever our government tells them no matter what. I think I'll take the other side of that bet. There are too many people who, when push comes to actual shove & their backs are against the wall, will stand up and do the right thing. And remember, the government is just as reliant on supply chain dynamics as we are...it would not take much for upstanding US citizens to disrupt that chain.
