Cool. Glad to hear it. I hope the same thing is happening at MSNBC and every other hate-mongering entity.

If it weren't for the government, liberalism wouldn't exist. It's a bankrupt philosophy devoid of reason and intelligence. It's a disease.

Dammit. Ya hit the target again, Karl. Maybe it's time to give you a moving target at a greater distance next time instead of a stationery one! Your recent targets just can't seem to pull the wool over your eyes! :^)
The newspaper in my town used to report objective news. And I subscribed when I was able since I was raised to support my local press. But the content became more biased and liberal in the past few years - publishing tear jerker articles about illegal immigration, gun control, people on welfare, government spending, etc... Naturally their print subscriber numbers plummeted since it's largely a conservative community. The ownership blamed it on the bad economy and on the access to free news over the internet. I contacted the publisher and told him many threw in the towel because of the biased content the print publication contains that does not reflect the general mood of the population. Oh God. Then the excuses and accusations begin spewing forth.
It's more than obvious that special interests control the content of the print media. And as government gets worse and worse, the media seems to applaud it more and more, without provding us with the facts or the larger truth of what goes on in our society.
When objective minds are able to get more truth from RT News than from the US mainstream media - is there any doubt that we are in BIG BIG trouble?

I opened a DailyKos account maybe a year ago. I wanted to know what people of that persuasion thought of the creeping police state stuff. I made one post, asking if they were worried about the police state. I was generally excoriated, and most of the condemnation was just general in nature, not having anything to do with what I said. I was labeled a Paulbot, given a skull and crossbones label or something, and my account was frozen, no more posts, no more editing. They are a nasty group of people.

Noodleman, I disagree with your view. Newspapers are getting thinner and shrinking widths and heights. The success of RT is welcome as an alternative to the crap the mainstream media spews out. The fact that the old manipulative propaganda mainstays are losing their clout can only be interpreted as good news, not bad!

Quite a few worthy stories you have to look to the foreign press to know anything happened. They don't slant the news - they censor it.

Karl, I think your advertising targeting software is not working correctly. The two ads I have today are wrinkle stuff, and one to remove my "Redondo Beach Arrest Record." I do not have an arrest record.

Bert, I don't quite understand where we disagree. There seems to be a misunderstanding. I basically said that the newspapers are dying because they are lying to their readers and the readers are starting to figure out the whitewash. And that we must turn to RT News and such to get the truth. I think it's bad that we are losing our traditional form of information, but I would rather have them go out of business than lie to us and get away with it. I would MUCH rather have them tell us the truth and stay in business tho. The chances of that happening are probably slim and none. But their EXCUSE for loss of subscriptions, smaller budgets and smaller print publications has been the public's access to internet news and a bad economy. I believe it's a lack of trust by the public in the information being fed to them by the mainstream US media.
So I think we agree much more than disagree.

Not only are they a nasty lot; they are stupid. What is the first group that typically gets rounded up in a totalitarian state?

I wish that people who should know better would stop surrendering the word "liberal" to these statist *******s. Those people are the antithesis of a true liberal as the word was originally coined.

The only time I have ever reviewed the KOS was to establish the WTF factor for their alternate reality thinking.
Not a bunch of high intellects for sure.

It's common for libtards to sponsor/promote other libtards or members of the affected class all in name of trying to make past wrongs right. Meanwhile those that bust their butts and are of the non-affected class get little.

I'm guessing that the drop in their pageviews (and thus ad revenue) could be attributed to the fact that the libs don't have a boogyman to rant about anymore. Their guy has been in power for the past 4 years and just got re-elected. They "own" Afghanistan, the economy, Benghazi, etc.
There's no real reason for their kind to gather together in opposition to anything so they're all on Facebook and Instagram showing off photos of their vegan dinners.

Wasn't a lot of their revenue from the election cycle & then drops down after the election has happened? I do believe AdAge had a piece talking about 2013 being a headwind with the election & olympics behind us. http://adage.com/article/media/ad-spendi....When compared against party-based publishing, this site is too honest to be appealing to larger & more corrupt political ad budgets, so it likely is more just a function of awareness/exposure, which only grows over time as people lose faith in our political process. You miss much of the upside of the political ads, but then you miss the associated collapse too. Another thing that is likely lifting revenues on this site is the rise of ad retargeting. I generally/typically ignore most ads, but in some cases I am seeing ads for individual products I viewed recently along with a coupon code directly in the ad. That has to drive some lift in CTR on the aggregate.

I think Cluelessinfl nailed it. The takers, represented by Kos, won so they don't have to howl anymore. Moreover, a lot of the lefties secretly realize that the bastard *****son they elected is planning on feeding the nation a **** sandwich of which they too will have to partake.
From what I see, the country is in a bitter, sullen mood and thoroughly disgusted with politics and politicians. Moreover, as the situation deteriorates because of those same politicians, it's going to get worse, not better. I expect some real trouble to erupt next year. I'm looking forward to seeing Karl's forecasts for 2013 to see if he's as pessimistic as I am.
I'm beginning to believe all the cop shows on television attributing almost magical powers to detection technology are there to convince those who still watch TV that the police are all but omniscient. If that demographic knew how few police there are available at any given time, and the real likelihood of being caught for committing a crime against a stranger, the police would rapidly be overwhelmed. We're coming to that.

Grunwald,
How about progresso-facist? Progressives had to do a quick relabeling after their love fest with Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin (and company) ended on a bad note. They did what they do best. Steal.

We're coming to that. What we should also be worrying about is the old Soviet crime of "wrecking". If people get disgruntled enough, most of the infrastructure is very hard to protect. Just think if people began destroying road signs in isolated places, targeting power lines and other stuff like that in out-of-the way spots. I imagine the cost to replacing a regular local government road sign is several hundred dollars. As you wrote, they're spread very thin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrecking_%2....

==== If it's true that "assault weapons" are "weapons of war" and don't belong on the streets of America, why do the police need them? Who are the police at war with?
