"I would think one less administrative position per school would cover it."

Aye, there's the rub!

I suggest as a counter to all of the ineffective gun banning idiocy that all persons wanting an EFFECTIVE counter to a statistically rare event write our locals newspapers and DEMAND armed guards for every school using the analogy of a business that hires an armed night watchman. What, kids aren't worth the same? Put up or shut up. Or will the truth come out that they're probably more likely to be accidentally shot by the watchman than by some rampage shooter?

Out here the kids are used as political puppets all the time. Whenever there's a ballot measure asking for more money for the teachers the unions parade the kids around like little monkeys holding their union signs saying "Vote for Measure ____" These are 6 and 7 year olds who have no idea what's going on.

So don't be surprised if the kids are used as puppets for gun control too. You know, carrying around signs that read "Ban guns and keep me safe".

Keep your eyes peeled. I think it's going to happen if it hasn't happened already.

"Mexico Shows That Tight Gun Control Laws Don't Guarantee Compliance"

Why heck no! Not when you got the American government smuggling 2000 assault rifles across the southern border for delivery to the cartels! That's like making sex unlawful in brothels on payday at the local military base. In theory it sounds good. But the law ain't worth the piece of paper it's written on.

I would sum it up like this.

Attention anti gun politician’s.
How many more children must die before you realize that it is insane to keep disarming the protectors of our children?

Oh wait I’m sorry I forgot you have no intention of disarming the protectors of your children, you just insist on disarming the protectors of my children.

Just sayin.

"Who did the asking?"

It wasn't gun control czar Holder, was it? Maybe he would like to confiscate the hardware and send it south of the border. Who knows? :^)

So, why do your bodyguards and your American militarized police forces have "weapons of war", ****mouth?

Oh, BTW - EABOD, Obama - perhaps that would wash the lies out of your mouth.

Great ticker KD.

One thing that grinds my gears is we get politicians talking about aiding rebels (including Al-Qaeda) in Libya and now Syria but American citizens can't have "weapons of war"? All while fast n' furious goes on in ol Mexico.

Locals in Portland Oregon are now freaking out because a guy had his pistol fall out of his holster in a Tillamook theater. Some kids found it later. They've revoked his ccw and want to charge him with reckless endangerment. This was mentioned on the radio news just after noting that the number of ccw permits issued has increased in the past few months.

Of course, cops have never ever lost their guns by mistake.

Flaps, Have your son respond like this...

Quote:
This is my rifle. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my rifle and myself are defenders of my country, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen

More disgusting hypocrisy from Obama during his speech at Daniel Inouye's funeral service. Warning, cover your computer with a puke shield before reading/listening. I transcribed a couple of the most hideously hypocritical passages:

Starting at about 1:16:00
Quote:
...to see this man, this senator, this powerful accomplished person….hinted to me what might be possible in my own life….a man who as a teenager stepped up to serve his country even after his fellow Japanese Americans were declared enemy aliens, a man who believed in America even when his government didn’t …believe in him. That meant something to me. It gave me a powerful sense….of hope. And as I watched [him]…I learned how our democracy was supposed to work. A government of and by and for the people. We have a system of government where nobody is above the law. We have an obligation to hold each other accountable; from the average citizen to the most powerful of leaders...cause these things that we stand for, these ideals that we hold dear, are bigger than any one person or party or politician…Nobody communicated that more effectively than Danny Inouye…That he was a proud Democrat, but most importantly, he was a proud American. Were it not for those two insights planted in me at the age of 11…I might never have considered a career in public service. I might not be standing here today.
And yet, the 2nd Amendment, the 4th Amendment, and financial fraud are things you, Mr. President, can just ignore?

And then, at about 1:22:00
Quote:
For him, freedom and dignity were not abstractions. They were values he had bled for…sacrificed for. Rights he understood as only someone can who has had them threatened; had them taken away. Valor that earned him this nation’s highest decoration.
Is the President saying that a person must have "bled" and "sacrificed" to understand what it is like to lose your G-d given freedoms and dignity? Fortunately, this isn't true for everyone. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, it is true for the majority.

Unfortunately, the keyboard needs shielding from the tears, not any puke.

Karl, how come this isn't in your Ticker Classics yet? I mean, this is instant, no doubt about it. Are you writing another book and using this material instead?

Just wondering...
