Heh Turbo: Jump You F^%ker

From CNBC:

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geither told CNBC Wednesday that Republicans are "making a little bit of progress" in "fiscal cliff" talks but said the Obama administration was "absolutely" ready to go over the cliff if the GOP doesn't agree to raise tax rates on the wealthy.

"I think they're making a little bit of progress," Geithner said. "They're clearly moving and figuring out how to try to move further."

But Geithner said the White House would "absolutely" go over the fiscal cliff — triggering over $600 billion in automatic spending cuts and tax increases — unless tax rates increase on the top 2 percent of wage earners.

Oh good.

Let's do it Turbo!

Going "over the cliff" would do a lot to demonstrate exactly how much lying our government has been doing over the last four years and directly put hard numbers to the impact of deficit spending and the abject fraud that it represents in the economy.  Of course it would only be about half of the actual impact, but most Americans are still smart enough to multiply by two.

So Turbo, tell your boss this -- and go with him.

I think repealing all the Bush tax cuts has been O's plan all along. This way, he gets to blame it on Republicans.

Why should any workers not pay top tax rates when there are FSA slugs to feed?

I guess there are multiple spelling for Geithner (my personal fav is douchebag.). Obviously, Boehner is going to take it in the rectum again on behalf of the republicans. Higher taxes and defense cuts don't work for the Republican base, so we will get higher taxes and higher spending.

BTW - A real fiscally conservative Republican party would start at the fiscal cliff and discuss how far down to open the chute.

Florida, "caught" yes, "trouble" no (for a 'made man' like Geithner there is no trouble as long as he follows the program). Unless you view promotion to the top as 'trouble'.

You just gotta laugh at the Kabuki Theater these aholes put on before the masses to feed us with the illusion that they are arch enemies, only to join hands and come together at the last minute to save the nation. heh. It's the same old **** each and every time. The one-party system doing what it does best. Give you some foreplay with their feigned bickering and then bend you over and **** you good!!! heh. :^)

So this is all going to be Boner's fault while, at the same time, he angers the fiscal hawks in his own party by eliminating them from key positions.

I wish they would find a way to raise taxes only on banking executives since they are largely the ones giving the other rich a bad name. I've had the opportunity to hobnob with rich donors at the local symphony and they are mostly all generous and nice (the symphony would not be here without their donations). The one rich ******* I've met is in now jail, and rightfully so. ******* bankers not being in jail annoys me. There needs to be a distinction on taxes for the rich based on envy vs. based on retribution for rich bastards that broke the law and got away with it.

But overall, bring on the fiscal cliff because we need it. Nothing will improve American economic competitiveness like seeing the rest of the world fall into violence as the American military withdraws. We have spent 50 years militarily protecting global trade routes that now only cost us jobs. Let the rest of the world pick up that tab for a change.

Mikpaq, I think the 600B is a annual number. I think the payroll taxes are $220B alone. For those that don't think the middle class pay taxes. The AMT is another big one. Add in the Bush tax cuts. I think there is only $100B in defense cuts annually. Boehner's mouth is full of Donkey Balls right now because Obama correctly assessed they were completely full of **** about being fiscally conservative. Obama may go down as one of best politicans ever (take that anyway which way you want).

I think the plan IS to go over the fiscal cliff and everything we see going on is posturing to play the blame game.

Caught five seconds of Wolf Blitzer on the tv in the gym lockeroom this afternoon. The discussion didn't seem to even mention real details beyond qualified dividends and income tax rates.

How about a discussion of all the transfer taxes? How about a discussion of the AMT? It was just two political hacks making arguments without going into any details.

I am not sure whether Americans are total uninformed because of our media or if our corporate media can't make money unless they treat us all like juveniles. But in either case I am glad I cancelled my cable long ago.

The fiscal cliff circus is all b.s. political theatre. I don't think they allow intelligent truly informed and knowledgeable people on television well except for maybe Russia Television. Hell I think RT and capital account or that wackjob Keiser turned me onto Karl last year.

I don't buy that the plan is to go over the cliff. It's just jaw-boning by Geithner et. al. Both Parties will cave, and there will be a deal with no actual cuts in anything. The ratings agencies will frown, and nothing will happen. The credit markets will eventually sort this one out in a brutal way.

I think I'll play the game.

Quit work -- get 'free' health care, food stamps, rent assistance -- what else will .GOV give an unemployed poor person.

Saw an article that the average welfare family gets 60k a year in bennies.

yeah - I can play that game.

All you stupid f**kers can work to keep me up !!

Go on over the cliff - either way - this has to fail in short order. I'll do my part to help it fail.

Maybe if everyone just quit producing?? think they might get the message.
