Oh look, it fell!  (a bit)

In the week ending November 24, the advance figure for  seasonally adjusted initial claims was 393,000, a decrease of 23,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 416,000. The 4-week moving average was 405,250, an increase of 7,500 from the previous week's revised average of 397,750.

Yeah, ok.  Can't blame Sandy for this one, can you?

Not really.

Pay close attention to the EUC number folks.  That's part of the fiscal cliff impact, and it is very much on the table come 12/31 -- not because it's part of the sequester, but because it is due to expire organically on that date.

God I wish the Republicans in the House all had the balls to just say "no" to everything. Let the tax rates revert, let the spending be sequestered, let the extended unemployment die. Too bad you couldn't find two testicles among the lot of them.

Mortgage,

I'll do you better than that.

I wish they had teh testicles to 'double down' on everythign the Dems have said they want to do to "FIX" the economy.

Double the 'taxes on the rich' from where they want it.

Double, tripple - heck, make it an order of magnitude on the debt ceiling and the govt spending.

Cut Defense by 75%.

Double SS benefit payments, Double Medi-caid / -care spending.

(And maybe sneakily slip in a National 'MUST CARRY' provision in the medical portion.... heh, heh, heh)

Put it ALL in a bill - amd MAKE them vote it down...

I just realized... they aren't saying, "Keynesian Economics"
they're saying "Kenyansian Economics". Grass Huts for everyone!
