One of our old friends in Florida is having her second knee replacement next month at age 72. She's doing it now to avoid any future Obamacare rules. I said 'go for it. Why let some Medicaid schmuck get your healthcare.'

Medicaid and Medicare in current form will be history. So will universal health insurance unless the US socializes medicine. If that is a problem for you, then I won't tell you what other Ponzi's you have "invested" in.

For those who can afford it, medical tourism will be on the rise once things really get going.

Death panels will exist. It's called IPAB. It's part of ACA / Obamacare. As a CV doc, I'm already seeing Medicare routinely not pay claims which easily reverse on appeal. Aetna has done it for years. They are testing the waters. CrzyMorse raises a good issue. Hospitals all expect and need the increased revenue, but profit margins are routinely less than 1%. God forbid they cut some of their executive staff.

When the Nazi's broke every law when coming to power, people in later years were asked, how were they allowed to do it? The answer was easy: They Simply Did It.

Marvin, have you seen Body for Life?

The kind of coaching I seek is how to motivate someone to take action; not to take action for myself.

I looked at the site you pointed out, and the most interesting part was the eating schedule. I may adopt that personally.

I used to run a lot. Then my knees started hurting.

Nowadays I dont run as much and I've started a rigorous and progressive weight training outlined in "Body By Science".

One of the authors is an ER doc. I'm impressed by the quantity and quality of the medical literature he cites.

I'm not pushing the book; I just happened to find it in my local library and you probably can as well.
