Just to correct the record,not that it matters, it was a embassy issued apology that came before the attack for the a movie that was apparently made as some sort of advertisement or promotion that was dubbed by the Good Reverend Perry to show his love for Islam.

We also have one clue that the attack may not be what it appeared, based on the Ambassador's protection detail, who were ex-Navy Seals highly experienced in protection details from Hot wars all suggest that this attack was meticulously planned and executed by professionals. Based on that news bit, I really don't think the movie had anything to do with it. It was just an excuse to divert attention. You don't plan one of those things in a day or so.

The film has been out since July, so aQ had plenty of time to prepare for a strike and then point out the video to the vast majority of Muslims who hadn't seen it, inciting the riots as cover. aQ, just as Bin Laden said many times (ALWAYS pay attention to what your enemy is saying), wants nothing more than to incite direct US military personnel on the ground involvement in the Middle East, not drone strikes, and nothing would be better for that than to put another Bush in office. Although I've read plenty of comments about Christians wanting to speed up the end of days, I have never met a Christian who has expressed or in any manner indicated any desire for an acceleration of end times. This seems to be another urban legend. The story must have been started by someone other that a Christian. Don't get sucked in.

I have heard a few Christians lament that the corruption, "wars and rumors of wars", and the general sense of anxiety and distress, etc. are signs of the end times. They sometimes sigh and say something about Jesus is coming soon, or this will end, or something that is meant to be comforting like "It is all in God's hands." Such things are verbalized in the context of dread mixed with resignation, but not of hopeful anticipation.

Whoever suggested that Christians want the world to fall apart in order to see Jesus sooner is on the wrong track.

I agree that this was a planned terrorist attack, people don't bring RPGs and AK47s just to protest. Cairo is a protest, Benghazi was a terrorist attack with a protest as a smokescreen. Interesting Verreken.. Maybe some jihadists agent-provacateured the whole thing in order to cause these protests. If we can prove it, the media ought disseminate that info with all haste. The world stage is critical to protests in any country, if we can showcase evidence that the video was faked by jihadists to stir things up we could deny them their propaganda victory.

Isn't interesting that the guy who fooled actors into making the film and later dubbed a Mohammed character into it without the their knowledge is supposedly an Egyptian "Christian" who happened to time the release of the film at the end of a US election year, inciting riots in the Middle East once attention was drawn to the film which has been out since July. Egypt is no longer forced-friendly with Israel by a dictator, yet the US has taken a neutral attitude toward that, something that displeases Israel. So, the film inspires riots in Egypt, Libya, and Yemen with the Egyptian government supporting the protests while providing adequate US embassy defense and "profuse apologies." aQ takes advantage of it all trying, as usual, to once again incite (i.e., "sucker") the US into direct military action in The Middle East and/or influence the US elections to elect a likely to be more militant politician.

And what country would benefit from more direct US military action in the Middle East and/or a less neutral/friendly US relationship with the new governments in Egypt and Libya? Hint: it's in the Middle East and begins with an "I." More clues, it's not Iran or Iraq.
