Really tick them off and vote for Ron Paul. The machine will take better notice.
Go to Tampa and support the liberty movement. The man and the movement are not done.

Sitting on your hands at home and hoping to be noticed will not work. You will disqualify yourselves from their attention. Your vote and your opinion will not register with those to whom you have ceded power through inaction. You will become invisible to them, a nonperson.

I'm still waiting to hear about Romney's specific platform and goals for the first year. Yeah I know he will lie about them (just like Obama did/will).

So far, the clear message from Romney, if elected is:
Cut the budget, but not in the first year
Spend more money
Maybe do something with Obamacare, but darned if I know what to do*
and now with Ryan: Vouchers for Seniors*

*this is not addressing the healthcare expense problem

Romney is a fool to define himself in the negative: he is against anything the other guy wants, but doesn't want anything himself.

This has been said before, but needs to be said again. Ron Paul, bless his heart, had years to make a difference and all he does is make excuses.

Past performance predicts future performance. What does that say about (R)epublicans in general, and (R)omney in particular?

I'll admit I may be wrong, no one would be more pleasantly surprised if electing Romney actually fixes anything; it's just that I have serious doubts.

Already there. Even when I vote. If I really wanted to be noticed, I'd become a community organizer or major fundraiser or such so I can deliver large blocks of votes or money. Then I'll be on their radar. Problem is, I have standards.

Just sent $100 to Romney/Ryan.
Hope it helps them to defeat a
fraud known as Barrack Hussein Obama.

I really get offended when you guys call Obozo a socialist. He's nothing of the kind, he is a liar, hustler and facist but def not a socialist. He will prove that in 2013 when he cuts off the welfare crowd to please his masters....

Study the meaning of the word "Forward" in the context of socialism.

Land, yea yea, he promotes socialism cause he likes to get support from the socialist retards and that makes them happy.

Look at his actions, he buys votes from the lower class sheeple from snap card giveaways and the such. However, he doesn't need votes in 2013 and beyond.

Look at his other actions, he lets Uncle Ben and the boyz to give as much money to the bankers and wall streeters as they want. Those are his true masters.

The socialist bull**** is just a ploy.

Gen_Max, when are you going to figure it out... that the ideas of Progress, Socialism, Communism are all dependent on corruption at the core and the labor of "the people" to keep feeding the corrupt machine so they can sit back on their haunches and be protected from "terror".

Sound familiar?

Things can only change when "the people" start figuring out that they're getting a pole up the ass, courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.

Who knows when or if that will ever happen.

When I was 18 my favorite thread here would have been the boobie thread. I learned things and got wiser with age, and for around 20 years the boobie thread would have been a distraction, with more important things to learn. Now in my 40's I learned enough that the boobie thread is more important than who Romney just picked as VP. I hate Obama's ideas as much as anyone here, On election day I spend more time at the boobie thread.

i think we all do understand that nobody wants to really try and fix anything, or they would have nominated ron paul.

the one thing i do know is if obama wins we absolutely will go off the fiscal cliff. i know a lot of americans think that is a great idea for a "reset", but it will certainly be painful for a lot of people. obama has proven that he is here to loot the system, engage in no prosecution, and kill american citizens with absolutely awful foreign policy-both in the mideast and mexico.

i simply don't see how we can have worse leadership. i find it interesting that the democrats are complaining about ryan voting for the same policies that obama supported. it is the conservatives who should be crying. if romney behaves as badly as obama, it WILL collapse and i think he is smart enough to know it.

imho...the bankers and their ilk have designed the US to fail...its inevitable...they will also in the dark of night usher in another 100 year or perpetual Federal Reserve Act extension...all the corrupt politicians will vote for it as well. So prepare for such. Voting won't matter. There is only one path and that is to completely gut the country and make the world one under a centralized financial system...that is all

Ryan's plan for Medicare is flawed as we all know, but at least he had the guts to actually throw something out there. Which is a lot more thatn Obama and the Sentate Dems have done over the last three years.

Romney and Ryan will get my vote for at least bringing the issue of Medicare and Social Security up for consideration. If they lose the election over it, then it simply means we crash a bit faster and harder.

Their name actually fits since American's don't think!

George Carlin summed up how all people should feel about voting -

----------

In the long run even the most despotic governments with all their brutality and cruelty are no match for ideas. Eventually the ideology that has won the support of the majority will prevail and cut the ground from under the tyrant's feet and rise in rebellion to overthrow their masters.

Everyone in Wisconsin thought Scott Walker was "just another" republican, including myself. Nothing could have been farther from the truth and I openly admit that I was very wrong. I had given up caring about politics and who was elected because I believed (and still do for the most part) that it didn't matter who was elected because they all have screwed us for so long.

Walker has provided a glimmer of hope that things can be changed for the good. We are experiencing it in Wisconsin. Is it the utopia of freedom, less government, etc. that most of here long for? No, it is not. But it is closer than what it was two years ago and it showed me that there are still people that have the guts to make tough choices in the face of strong opposition to do what needs to be done and following though on their convictions knowing they will be crucified.

As for Romney - there is very very little about him that I support. I will give him credit though for having the spine to choose Ryan knowing the onslaught that will come. And for Ryan - I cannot believe the garbage he voted for and I know is budget proposal at best falls short. However, who else from the congress has even come close with a budget to address our situation? I would love nothing more than for someone who is electable to tell the truth to the American people and what it will take to fix the situation we are in. I don't see that happening and I am hoping that Romney has a little Scott Walker in him. I know for sure that BO doesn't.

I'll stop expecting disappointment from (R)epublicans when they start fighting, en masse, to the death (politically speaking) for their stated principles.

First and foremost, upholding the plain language of the federal constitution. That means they need to stop the insane support for most federal drug laws, stop talking about federal involvement in defining marriage, shut down the BATF, FDA, DEA, DoE (both of them), unwind Social Security & Medicare, make serious progress cutting the size and scope of the federal government AND dismantling the income tax in favor of a much less invasive and tyrannical replacement (one that takes a far smaller chunk of the national production, and if it takes a constitutional amendment, so be it), start doing serious border enforcement, etc.

I expect most if not all those things won't happen anytime soon short of a total collapse. Let me know when I'm proven wrong.

One or two Republican politicians who surprise me (as did Walker) don't prove (to me) that the Republicans are trustworthy, but they do provide excellent entertainment value, since they create such a fantastic reaction from the left/unions/public schoolteachers/Pelosi/Reid etc... For that they deserve my applause, but not necessarily my trust.
