IGNORE The Fed (And Congress, And The IRS, And...)

A "silent revolution"?  It's possible.  It might happen.

Last week, Congressman Paul’s bill to audit the Fed finally came to a vote on the House floor. Though it passed with overwhelming majority, it is expected to die in the Democratic-controlled Senate. Years of work, donations, phone calls and effort stopped in their tracks.

Ron Paul said it best in his final appearance last month with Fed Chairman Bernanke:

“We’re in deep doldrums and we never change policy. We never challenge anything. We just keep doing the same thing. Congress keeps spending the money, welfare expands exponentially, wars never end, and deficits don’t matter,” Paul said.

....

I will not facilitate this government to “help” understand, control and ultimately destroy alternative currencies.  All I ask is that you stay out of our way. The people in our world are happy to go right along saving you from your own destruction by producing value against all the odds, regulations, codes, and challenges thrown our way. But leave our money alone. It doesn’t belong to you, and it never will.

Hmmmm..... smiley

It's a tough thing to get your arms around, but in point of fact when you step back from your iPhone-addled world of today, and wake up, you realize that the "system" really doesn't do much for you, other than put you in a gerbil-wheel and then demand that you run.

Education - "college"?  Why?  So you can take on $40,000 in debt?  If the point of an education is to learn how to think, can you not do so without the $40,000 in debt?  You most-certainly can.

Medical care.  You need the system for this, yes?  Are you sure?  What does a physician need?  Why he probably needs his pool cleaned, his car fixed, his house painted.  Cna you do any of that?  Why do you need to pay a 5,000% mark-up so Juanita the illegal Mexican can have her kid and force you to pay for it?

Yes, if you want your Chinese crap you need their internationally-sponsored system of "money."  Do you need that Chinese crap?  Does it make you feel "fulfilled"?  Or is it really about waking up in the morning, going for a nice jog, enjoying the air, water and life around you -- and your own life?

Hmmmm....

The bottom line is simple: humanity is not going to wait for permission to survive. Things that cannot go on forever… won’t.  The market will move on – with or without you. And, based on your rate of success to date, our preference is without you.

Yep.

I bet Ben (et al at the Fed) are watching the races in the Senate. They and the Dems might just get their, "Oh ****!" moment this November. An enema for DC and the nozzle is inserted at the Fed. Oh my, who cares about 12/21.

The barter system has been here for a while... and it is goooooood.

Use money first to see if business can be done amicably. Once you've established trust in the relationship and a baseline "value" of your services and products with each other... well, I'm sure you can figure it out from there.

I'm very interested to see the logic that "Occupier types" will employ when they still support deadbeat Democrat Senators who vote against an "Audit the Fed" bill. Clearly, this ideal goes along with their "evil wall street" mantra...

the issue is that history shows that "staying out of the way" s not what .gov, .dictator.monarch tends to do, the further they lose control, the harder they want to grab. That is why the American system was so different...until it wasn't...

Anyone notice that when a bill is sure to die in the "Democratic-controlled Senate", that Republicans back it 100%?

The cynic in me can't help but wonder if this would have passed with a "Republican-controlled" Senate?

Anyone really believe it would? LOL...come on now...is that what the Bankers want?...a real "Fed ending" audit?

Dream on people...this is nothing more than a "We Republicans voted for it, but those evil Democrats blocked it"..."Put us in charge of the Senate and we'll pass it next time"....yeah...right, like I'm that F'ing stupid...

PS> I Know, Dems play the same game...my point is just don't be a sucker in all this. When the R's had all the power, they kept Paul locked in the basement...now that they know there's no way in hell his bills will pass the Senate, they drag him out and pass his bills...and blame their sure failure on Democrats...

Guarantee you, in the event of a 100% sweep of power by the Republicans, Pauls' bills will NEVER come up for a re-vote...

Speaking of college debt, I heard a feature story on NPR this morning (I rarely tune in anymore but was driving and bored.) They interviewed a lady about her college loans and those of her kids. She has three or four college loans that she owns or has co-signed on for the kids. No savings, no home equity, no retirement. Lost her job, she "retrained" as a physicians' assistant and took out a loan for that also. The kicker was that she was still paying on the loan from her FIRST college degree, in "French and International Studies" which she claimed was valuable because it taught her CRITICAL THINKING !!! At that point I turned the radio off to laugh and hollar how her "critical thinking" has allowed her to financially destroy her own and her children's futures. smiley
So crazy I had to share...

The next big scam by the one percent is homeowners insurance.

They're already experimenting with that shakedown in Florida and are now gearing up to charge Pasco and Hernando County residents between $5K and $10K per year. And when the next big hurricane hits, they'll move most Florida homeowners into that range.

When the FL residents scream, they'll cost shift to their hearts' content to get everyone else to pay so they can skim big time from every mortgage holder in the country.

Oh and don't forget, the 'low income' population won't be paying at all.

They are all peering out of their ivory tower and have no clue what is happening to the underbelly of the middle class. Just look at the gun and ammo sales. It isn't the rich buying them. People are doing whatever they can to survive and the egomaniacs in DC don't have a clue about the middle class boiling over. They sense it and that is why they are ordering riot gear, but their corruption and destruction of the middle class is too large and diverse for them to stop the explosion when it comes.
Just listen to some of their comments. They are braindead when it comes to what the middle class is going through. They figure that they can pump out more welfare and DI payments and that will keep the population under control. We are way too far gone for this to happen. The explosion is imminent and they will panic when it happens. It is only a matter of time............

Debtpie is right. Whenever there is a critical vote on health care, debt ceiling hikes, etc.. you'll always find a few maverick republican votes needed for passage moving to the other side. We've seen that movie over and over again. This stuff is all cut 'n dried behind closed doors long before it comes to the floor for vote. We're fighting a one-party system. I don't see that changing unless end game arrives.

People put up with the current system because the perceived benefits still outweight the costs. When the costs to fight it are seen as being less than the benefit of doing away with it, change will happen.

Yup, wage slaves. They gotta get their vig no matter what. Everyone on down the line right into sole proprietorship. You're a vessel to be bled and nothing more. You're a biological unit to be mined.

You can't even "check out" it's not an option because ultimately you lease the deed to the land you own from FEDGOV.

The last debt ceiling hike passed because of the Republicans...more Democrats voted against raising the debt ceiling than Republicans...yet Mittens is running ads blaming Obama and the Democrats for our ballooning National Debt?

Republicans had the power to freeze it; but didn't...don't be stupid people.

>>>The agreement, entitled the Budget Control Act of 2011,[101] passed the House on August 1, 2011, by a vote of 269–161; 174 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted for it, while 66 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted against it<<<<

Bam! There it is; who's responsible for the current level of the National Debt? Republicans.

Move 55 Republicans into the "no" camp and the debt limit increase fails...budget must instantly be balanced.

Yep. That is why I have no debt - none - I paid cash for my condo (current hope to go lower after Lehman II - $723/yr prop taxes) and am an eternal bachelor with a good secure job (at least I think) where I'm am very needed.

True, I cannot stop working but I can stop putting into the debt system at least and the place I wok is gov so I never work OT and the benes are good and the work is not too stressful most of the time.

For the past several years I have turned my life toward not work stuff and will continue to do that until I die.

Debtpie nailed it.

If there had been a chance in hell that Paul's bill would pass the Senate AND be signed by the President, it wouldn't have even come up for a vote in the House.

Likewise, how many of those Dem votes against raising the debt ceiling were 'symbolic', i.e. cast once it was clear that it was going to happen.

It has been the actions of both parties, working together, that have led us to this point. When the inevitable occurs, they will work together to find a 'solution'.

An interesting article..
AOCS Goes to Washington wrote..
In the future you will not have to worry about million man marches or citizen journalists trying to catch you on camera. What you need to fear is no one paying attention to you. The next American revolution will not be fought with bullets and bombs; it will be won with the opposite consciousness.

Do you know the what the first step is folks?

Stop Voting.

Some will get it, many of course won't, and upon hearing the sweet sound of the bell, dutifully trek out in November to pull the monkey lever and pat themselves on the back for doing so.

No worries though. You must choose for yourself.

Yes barter is taxable. If a tree falls in a forest...

And yes, all house and senate voting is rigged. The game is played cards up and the trade favors. A 68 if you will (you do me and I'll owe you one). Votes pass or fail by "slim margins" so politicians can claim to have voted in a way that makes them appear to give a ****.
