Do You Hear Me NOW? (Government Corruption)

How many times do I have to pound the damn table?

PRINCETON, NJ -- Creating good jobs, reducing corruption in the federal government, and reducing the federal budget deficit score highest when Americans rate 12 issues as priorities for the next president to address. Americans assign much less importance to increasing taxes on wealthy Americans and dealing with environmental concerns.

No, really?

I have repeatedly called the financial corruption problem, all of which is linked to the government, a 90% issue -- that is, you appeal to 90% of the voters if you put forward a credible plan to address it.  I said that John McCain could have won if he had promised to jail all the banksters and shut down the revolving door crap and cronyism, and I have tried repeatedly to make the same case to Governor Johnson, who simply refuses to say the first damn thing about it.

You can call me a terrible pundit if you want, I don't care.

Call me whatever you'd like, except late for dinner.  Trust me, if there's an insult I've had it hurled at me.

Now when you're done claiming that I'm wrong go argue with Gallup, because they just ran a poll that shows that 45% say that this is extremely important and 87% peg it as either "Extremely" or "Very" important.

Ok, I was off by 3%.  That's within anyone's margin of error.

Right under that?

Reducing the deficit.

Watch out, however, because just two down from there is "Ensuring the long-term stability of Social Security and Medicare."

Want to win?  You can't claim you will reduce the deficit without addressing that point -- or you lose.

You will not only lose, you will lose disastrously.

There are other items in the list too that a Libertarian answer resolves.  Making health care available and affordable (which I have written on extensively), making college educations available and affordable (ditto) and creating good jobs (the government can only create an environment for good jobs, but that requires trade to be addressed, as I've written on extensively as well.)  All have clean Libertarian solutions.  All can be done.

And all are interconnected, as I have repeatedly pointed out for the last five years right here.

This is the message I've tried to bring to the Libertarian Party.  It has been, for the most part, ignored.  It has not been addressed in any meaningful way.  It just simply hasn't been folks, and that's a fact.

Yet Gallup's poll says that if you want to move people and bring them around to you as a Presidential Candidate, or as a serious candidate for any national office, you must address those items because this is what the electorate rates as very or extremely important.

You want to know where gay marriage (for or against) and legalization of pot are?

Not on the list.

Global warming made the list -- barely -- right above increasing taxes on wealthy people (which was dead last.)

Yeah.

WAKE UP -- TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

No amount of red/blue chain yanking will fix it. This is the system the red/blue team wanted. What they dont want is equal justice. If they were held to the standard we are held to we might have a chance.

For a long time I have been trying to find a way to bring it about. This may be the most important question mankind has ever asked. We should never stop asking.
How do we as people of earth bring about a truly just future for the children of our children?

I can't believe that the 'war on illegal immigration' is not on that list, unless it's buried under 'other international threats'.

NONE of the Candidates are running on reducing corruption, reducing the deficit, or creating good jobs by taking on the Globalists.

NOT ONE.

Not Obama.
Not Romney.
Not Johnson.

WHY NOT?

-THEY DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT THE WANTS OR NEEDS OF THE CITIZENRY OR THE COUNTRY. -THAT IS WHY.

-& IF ANY of Them changed their tune here, now, today; -We would ALL know that it would have been changed merely to pander for votes based on polling such as this and NOT out of any natural inclination or moral grounding.

These Stooges DO NOT give a flying **** about what the Citizens of the United States want or need and They will act as they have in the past once safely ensconced in Office for FOUR LONG YEARS even IF the message is altered for public consumption over the next three or four months.

There are NO decent Candidates on the National Radar.

NONE. -NOT ONE.

It does NOT matter if You ARE 100% right about what the Citizens want and need as NONE of these *******s cares in the least.

POLITICAL MACHINES- fully CONTROL access to the Ballot; -that is WHY these unimaginably sucktastic choices are offered. Year after year: TOTAL SUCKDOM.

Even IF the Ballot was not locked down -the Electoral College is TOTALLY STACKED with Lifetime Bureaucrooks and Bankster Cronies and Political Hacks that ALL KNOW where their bread is buttered and Who have NO intention of going without that butter or settling for margarine while they don't HAVE to.

KARL -I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR JOHNSON IF HE SUDDENLY STARTED QUOTING YOUR LENGTHIEST TICKERS VERBATIM.
-**** HIM -HE IS A LOST CAUSE FOR A DAMN GOOD REASON. -SUCKDOM.

ROMNEY IS BUILT ON 100% PONZI -& AMERICA HAS HAD ENOUGH STORMTROOPERS OF PONZI AT THE HELM ALREADY. -SUCKDOM

OBAMA IS A STATIST REDISTRIBUTIONIST LIAR. -& THOSE ARE POSSIBLY HIS BEST QUALITIES. -SUCKDOM.

ALL OF THESE MEN ARE MONEY *****S , OR WORSE -ALL ARE AGENTS OF THE BEZZLE BENT ON NOTHING MORE INTENTLY THAN SEIZING AND USING THE OFFICE TO TAKE A LEAD IN THE PLUNDERING OF THE WEALTH OF THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY.

NONE OF THESE DOUCHEBAGS ARE FIT FOR THE OFFICE IN QUESTION -& YOU DAMN WELL KNOW IT.

YOU CANNOT CHANGE WHAT THEY ARE -& THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE.

Yes, it is a ****ing tragedy that We cannot find an avenue to affect change through the system; through civil, peaceful means.
-THAT ISN'T MY/OUR FAULT -& I FOR ONE AM NOT GOING TO CARRY ANY GUILT OVER IT.

If one guy like Bernanky can change things for the worst. Then it stands to reason another man could set it right. The will is there we just need the chance. I would love the chance to get on the grand jury for economic treason. I know they wont pick me but I dont think Im the only one willing to try.

Just remember what happened to Cassandra (the princess of Troy who was given the gift of prophecy by Apollo and then cursed so that no one would believe her).

She went mad,was abducted, raped, made a slave and eventually murdered by Agamemnon, and she could see it all coming.

Sounds like an LP executive committee vote...

This time around when it comes to President, assuming nothing changes between now and then?

Beelzebub.

Come the first week of November?

It's time for something else.

There are some viable candidates that are making a difference. They have to win, of course, and where I can I'm trying to make that happen. Calen is one and Kerry is another. I'm sure there are more that I'm not plugged into in no small part because I'm not aware of them (and there are only 24 hours in a day.)

I agree with the observation about the public's desire to see financial crimes prosecuted and government corruption cleaned up. Definitely an issue that has broad appeal.

Unfortunately, I see that "Creating good jobs" is at the top of the poll.

Go ahead, Mr. President, wave your magic Executive Order wand, sprinkle the Federal pixie dust, turn loose the skittle-****ting unicorns and get cracking creating those good jobs.

I'd love to know how people expect our Supreme Leader in Washington to do in order to 'create good jobs' -- at best, I'd expect the President (and all branches of government) to not destroy them directly or indirectly.

Unless, of course, everyone wants to work for the government.

Seems like the 'public' might be a wee bit irrational. At least if we accept the pollster way of framing the questions/results.

The reason why NONE of the perps among the CEOs or CFOs has been prosecuted is: just one prosecution would bring down the whole stinking system.

Both the Rs and the Ds understand this and will not prosecute a single one. For anything.

Notice even Spanier at Penn State isn't charged with a crime.

I MAY, repeat MAY vote for Johnson just to help one person who is not a D or R have as good a showing as possible. Otherwise it's Mr. B who gets my vote.

Personally I believe that most of people know that there is some pain involved with any solution and that SS/Medicare are in feasible in their current form. Fixing SS/Medicare to have long run stability should be a real winner with boomers as they are about to start retiring. Same thing with prosecuting fraud, many boomers have been ripped of as well.

I repeat what I said a few days ago, Johnson does not want to win, he wants to pay off his campaign debts. At least that is what his actions are saying.

The United States is a case study of what happens when a republic becomes a democracy. The current crowd votes themsleves a whole lot of FS at the expense of the future. Good thing we built most of our hydrodams, interstate systems, nukes, natural gas pipelines before the 90s.

Heres a hint for all the liberal public schools/university teachers. Unless we develop our natural resources and drive industry back to the USA we can't support your pension or health care bennies for life. So Rather than teach our kids to shutdown capital projects for natural gas and oil because we are interrupting two turtles from potentially ****ing, how about a honest discussion about the limitations of wind, solar, biodiesell and other so called green technology. How about discussing the benefits of using carbon. God bless oil and natural gas and coal.

Speaking of global warming and energy policy....
PJM Interconnection, the company that operates the electric grid for 13 states, including Ohio, recently held its 2015 capacity auction. This gave the first real indication of just how drastic the effects of Obama's war on coal will be. The market-clearing price for new 2015 capacity was $136 per megawatt.

That's eight times higher than the price for 2012, which was just $16 per megawatt. In Pennsylvania, the new market price is $167 per megawatt — 10 times higher. In northern Ohio, which is suffering from more forced coal-plant retirements than the rest of the region, the 2015 price is an astounding $357 per megawatt.'

175+ coal plants to be shut-down ... 9+ gigawatts in 2012, alone!
