how about lifetime term limits to federal elected office instead?

Congress persons are all the same, republican or democrat, conservative or liberal. They talk a good game, but the results (or lack thereof) show something different.

The mind is repelled by such a "solution".

Bill Still still doesn't make any sense to me. If I've understood correctly, his plan is to pay the interest on the national debt in US Notes. That's simply inflating out of the debt. Everyone else's money and income becomes worth less as their wealth is stealthily taken by the government to pay their debts.

I'm not sure how this bribery thing would work either. Who would authorise congress to take the money? Presumably it would require a law change by congress, in which case they could do it now but without the condition attached.

And voting in people who want to be paid millions through explicit bribery isn't likely to get you well-balanced people in congress. I think it would produce even more corruption in the selection process.
