Pookie: Can you find any nation where this is allowed?

Hmmm... maybe, just maybe, it might work. But there might also be a reason that all the places I've looked at have extreme requirements to "buy" a green card -- proof of lots of money (enough to never need social spending), a high skill set that is in demand (e.g. something in STEM, medicine, etc) or similar.

There just might be a reason for htat.

No, Gen, I don't know of any nation where this is allowed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it wouldn't work. Not saying that I know it would work, but it seems the most logical to me. I think people should be able to move freely. This way they are not captive in in their home country, and are not forced into a compromising position in the county to which they have moved.

Pookie, there's a fine line between 'freedom of movement' and '****ting on another's livingroom rug.'

The election is not a way to have a voice in government, but rather an impotent declaration if we prefer ketchup or mustard on our **** sandwich.

You don't have to buy from them. You can just buy union.

You can't have it both ways.

In short, the libertarians(like all parties) have a guiding principle, but would be just as bad in power.
The only guiding principle a political party has is to get elected -- which is exactly why most "small-l" libertarians frown upon if not outright reject the antics of the "big L" Libertarian Party and its surrender to base pragmatism, and have ever since it formed almost four decades ago.

"Small ls" categorically reject, in principle, that government has any moral right to herd human beings around like cattle.

It's a FAT line, and it's called trespassing. But you can only legitimately claim trespass if you acquired the property by moral means; a government which seizes and controls all mechanisms of travel by power of eminent-domain and legalistic fiat cannot validly make any such claim. It can only stomp around imperiously (which is exactly what it does).
