Claims: Nothing Interesting Here

Nothing to see here, move right along (or so the pundits say)...

In the week ending June 23, the advance figure for  seasonally adjusted initial claims was 386,000, a decrease of 6,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 392,000. The 4-week moving average  was 386,750, a decrease of 750 from the previous week's revised average of  387,500.

Yeah yeah.  Revisions higher (again); you may as well just add 5K to whatever they report and you're somewhat close.

What's the big table say about this being a mundane report?

Oh oh.... that's not good at all.  I thought we had roll-offs and hiring going on?

Looks like "NOT!" is the buzzword there...

The upcoming employment report should be "interesting".....

The EUC roll-offs wild card is going to be just like the $3.99 99/100 gasoline card.

They're not going to realize that they stepped on their dicks till it's too late. $4 gasoline has already pretty much destroyed the summer tourist season, and now the Fed/administration is furiously trying to get the gasoline price back down to earth.

Whoopsie! The serious people have already made their summer plans, and they don't include sharing the wealth with the tourist states.

Similarly, the rush by the states & the federal government to jettison the slackers from EUC is going to have a hungry, annoyed rabble making waves just before the November erection. WTF were they thinking?

Was getting the unemployment percentage down so ****ing important for both faces of the Janus Party? What a bunch of ****ing idiots!
