I challenge Gary to show me where in The Constitution The Federal Government has any authority to regulate, promulgate, diss, embrace or in any other way interfere with (for or against) marriage in any form.
Imagine a stranger waltzing into your house and interposing himself in a spat between you and your spouse. Just because he took your side, would you cross your arms and say, "See there, honey? I was right!" Hell no, you'd throw the ****er out BECAUSE HE DOESN'T BELONG THERE.

Good Lord, the American people are children. Worse, from their years of state-run compulsory education and their years roaming the Marxist-run halls of the academy, they are brain damaged retards.

Worse yet, they actually want to be treated like children.

KD, I have seen your posts on the thorium reactors. That works in theory for certain. Any kind of electrical energy (save for wind) depends on an adequate supply of water and sizable capital investment. I doubt a lot of areas have that water supply. Then, how many years before we run out of fissionable thorium? These are questions I don't know the answer. This still doesn't address the need for minerals, which appear to be more and more scarce in quality ores. We are as likely living in a blip in history as in a sustainable lifestyle. It may be time to try something different, instead of making the bankers rich and filling up landfills. I am not disputing we shouldn't go to thorium and in fact wonder why we haven't, other than political interference. South, east and SE Asia have one hell of a lot of people and we haven't addressed Africa and parts of South America.

When it comes to energy, nothing is going far until it is more economical than oil, gas and coal. Despite their good intent, governments that try to cram costly energy solutions on their economies are going to sink them. Windmills are interesting, but at what point does their energy output exceed the inputs of energy in the form of materials and human labor (People consume energy in their day to day use in the labor system). I haven't noticed Boone Pickens blowing much smoke about wind farms. Must have received the maximum amount of cash he could get out of his uncle. Boone said gas would never be under $5 MCF again. Amaranth thought $10 plus was a good price and ran a corner that probably made Boone rich. Makes you wonder who Pickens silent partners were. Bet he didn't make all his buddies in DFW rich buying and holding.

The LFTR process runs at a high enough temperature to use Brayton cycle turbines, which does not require water for steam production or cooling. If there is water available they can use a combined cycle plant for more efficiency but it's not required.

100,000-1,000,000 years, not counting known deposits on the moon, Mars and other bodies in the solar system.
