Insider trading? Gee Karl, are you an insider? You have been predicting a collapse at RIMM for weeks if not months, so I assumed you were shorting them. Perhaps someone else, someone large, shares your view - or reads the Ticker.

If Facebook bought RIMM (which is losing money) do you think that would improve their shareholder approval rating?

Yeah, when you bet on the collapse NOW in share price, that's almost always insider trading.

Big difference between shorting the stock and buying a PUT that expires in three days.

Maybe JPMorgan and RBS took their review information and did something with it... They have got a couple billion in bad bets to make up for, right? smiley

What am I missing: I see no expiration date of June 1st listed in the first image for this post, and thus don't see any PUT options expiring within three days.

I do see what looks like a date in the Option Code, but the "exp" (expiration?) listed is still "JUN 12".

Further, two of the yellow-highlighted items, presumably the items of interest, don't seem to have matched the activity on RIMM (-54%, -22%). Are those supposed to be bets on future declines that have yet to be determined yet? If so, this could still just be a lottery ticket by someone yes?

-edit
Doh, thanks, I see it now - zooming in a little makes it obvious that the "JUN 12" is actually "JUN1 12". So, fishy activity with a large bet placed on a collapse within three days on RIMM.

Jun 1 12 (3) = June 1st, 2012, 3 days remaining.

Hate to say it, but this is by design, apple and android allow easy access to your info by .gov. Google walet anyone? Soon cash will be illegal. I promise. Watch capital controls in Europe take shape. Rimm is dead because tptb said so. Hard for me to say what I just said. Not sure I believe it myself. But, what other reason is there for a company to destroy itself? It's not just individual info, but corporate as well. Not to mention the huge insider wealth that will be made by insiders.

Who is John Gult?

It's over, downhill from here, how long before the boom generation figures it out? My guess, when it's too late.

Ignoratnsavage,
it is actually displayed like this "Jun1 12". So, the "Juj" & the "1" are very close together, which explains your errant reading of "Jun 12".

People have been predicting The Collapse of RIMM, because RIMM has been looking like a giant fail for weeks, if not months...or years.

So, how did this play out?

I'm having a hard time trying to extract data from the first image in this post - what is signified by the "%Cha..." column? If that was the bet on the movement of price of RIMM stock, it was a big miss by the guy buying the shorts. OTOH, if the "Net C..." column indicates that the bet was for RIMM to drop by as much as 28 cents, this was a big win for someone.

The big drop during the applicable time period seems to be on the morning of May 30 with a price of ~10.14, down from the prior day's close of 11.23.
