The Obama government will have to either stall the trial until after the election or drop the charges before the election.

Although lynching a "white man" that everyone knows is innocent (including blacks) will solidify the black vote, it won't sit well at all with most whites and latinos. You can say "yah but La Raza backs the lynching" but I believe that vast majority of latinos themselves have a hell of a lot more personal integrity, self-respect, and class than to not be disgusted by the way George Zimmerman is being railroaded.

We all know that this case is strictly political and has absolutely nothing to do with justice whatsoever. So for political reasons, the charges get dropped before the election OR the trial (at least the verdict portion) is set for post-election otherwise Obama is toast in November. Obama has too much to lose otherwise.

And Democrats think those gun laws in Chicago are going to kick in AAAAAAANY MINUTE NOW. I hate both parties but when the DNC is dead wrong it seems to get more innocent people killed than when the GOP is dead wrong. Not by a huge margin, but still a bit more blood on the hands of the DNC. Hell, over time "Fast and Furious" by itself may rack up an innocent death count similar to one of our international "police actions".

I agree they're the same, I won't vote for either Romney or Obama, though if I believed a word Romney said I'd surely vote for him. I don't. It's a shame the modern GOP doesn't really believe in gun rights, as arming the innocent is the answer to a variety of dying-innocents type situations.

1. the original gun control laws in this country;
2. the racial data for Chicago;

and then tell me whether the contemporary gun laws are "more of the same".

Recall too that unarmed people need protection... and the gummint has persuaded itself that it owns a monopoly on that (along with so many other things not mentioned in that "G**-****** piece of paper".) And the government becomes more and more indispensable and needed, as more and more people become dependent on it.

It's the 'dark side' of Henry Ford's idea of paying his employees well, in order to increase the size of his potential customer base.

Part of me wants to blame my ancestors, for ever bringing Africans to the continent in the first place. But, it's like being in an abusive marriage in which one partner is violent toward the other because of the past. Wrongdoings in the past don't give a license to anyone to commit equal or worse wrongdoings today. But sadly, the government has had a big hand in maintaining the status quo. Now why would they want to do that?
