Prosecuting Zimmerman was never about the evidence, it was about appeasing a portion of the population that had been whipped into a frenzy by the media's rush to judgment. Look at all the media moves -- the redacted 911 conversation that made Zimmerman sound like a racist, the retouched video that eliminated the wounds on the back of his head, the photos of Trayvon as a smiling 12-year-old rather than the more recent ones of the 17-year-old thug. (The Daily Mail in Britain was still using those yesterday.)
ETA: It was also about pushing an anti-gun, anti-self defense agenda IMHO on the part of the media elite, but that's just me being a conspiracy nut.

Getting to look more and more like this prosecution was based upon the color of skin. So we really haven't changed much from the 1800's, have we now???
Dershowitz suggested that maybe it's time for the prosecutor to lawyer-up.
Btw, who had a hand in bringing in a special prosecutor anyway? Was DC behind that?

When/if the charges are dropped it’s going to be a tense time as a white male for a bit.
We’ve seen the stories from around the country of whites being targeted SPECIFICALLY out of anger over this case. The black community is going to see Zimmerman as the white OJ, despite the inconvenience of supporting evidence. Have to be very smart about how you go about your business. Parts of town, times when you go to an ATM or gas station, out jogging, etc. This is all the main stream media’s fault.

One of these images is a person of proud Native American heritage, whose ability to overcome racial prejudice and to have a phenomenally successful academic and professional career was aided by Federally-supported affirmative action programs. I'm going to really train hard with my wind sprints in the next 6 weeks.
After charges are dropped against GZ if I happen to get chased by black people yelling "Trayvon, Trayvon" my only real hope is outrunning them. If I fight back I may get charged with a 'hate crime'.

The same Richard Kurtz, Funeral Director, who handled Trayvon Martin’s body and who specifically sewed the seeds of deception and storyline selling for Team Trayvon with the above referenced article and with numerous TV appearances.
