I'd say That's pretty poignant. I'm going to have to vote for somebody I don't agree with and at this point, being anti-assault weapon trumps being anti-American. I guess he thinks the second amendment was to give us guns to squirrel hunt.

It took a damn long time for the RNC to quit bugging me, but they finally did.
I would fill out every one of the donation slips they sent witha thick black sharpie........ scrawling all over the form my various reasons the RNC had ****ed up.
I mailed every form back in the prepaid envelope they had sent.
I cannot say how many times I did this.
It was time consuming.
I would bitch and cuss the entire time.
Then one day I suddenly realized I had not rec'd one ****ing thing from the RNC in months.
It's been over a year now, closer to two.
I kinda miss that free therapy.

I know I feel better because I know if I support Obama or Romney I'm going to get screwed. This message ought to go to the head of the NRA to see how they deal with this political dichotomy that only voting against Romney and Obama would cure it, unless you go the traditional legacy hypocritical way at the polling booth.

So only Criminal Thugs from the Government and .GOV associated/sanctioned Cartels, which are generally protected by Laws against any prosecution for use/misuse of said weapons; may possess and use such weapons against Ordinary Citizens and not the reciprocal?
Why not ban the possession and use of such weapons domestically by Employees of the Government or remove all laws shielding the use/misuse of such weapons by Employees of the Government as well to be entirely sure that the weapons are not abused by Government Employees and/or provided either purposefully of by accident/oversight to Persons Who are not Government Employees?
Logic dictates that if the weapons are in deed too dangerous for ANY Private Individual or Group to be trusted with the possession and use of such devices that the weapons should not be allowed to be possessed/used by ANY Individuals or Group INCLUDING Employees of the Government -period.
Unfortunately, I have had the unpleasant experience of being forced to look down or taste the barrel of a gun more than once in My life.
I never wanted a gun so bad as when I was facing Someone with a gun and didn't posses one Myself.
...Thus, I would much rather that Everyone pretty much be allowed to possess whatever they desire for exactly this reason: a better chance at Self Preservation...

Im not a big Romney guy at all- def not a big Obama fan. This race IS the lesser of two evils- whether you admit to it or not.
You karl, of all people, know how view points and positions mature and evolve over time. Lets ask mittens his turning point- what caused him to change from his old opinion- and go from there.

I am now registered Rethuglican, so I can vote in the California June primary, against Romney.
Ron Paul will get my vote in June. All the other candidates except Paul and Romney have officially withdrawn from the race.
Paul has an interesting move afoot to get delegates and make a non-statist stand at the Republican convention. I support this.
As soon as the June Primary is over, I'm switching back to Libertarian registration.

They really are an anti-gun organization at the top, always helping to pass gun control bills, saying they are ``reasonable``. The NRA has been bought and paid for a long time ago. Anyone introducing/voting for a gun control bill/amendment should be kicked out of congress immediately if not outright arrested for treason. Same goes for anyone introducing bills/amendment to restrict/destroy the bill of rights. That should apply to states too. You don't screw with the bill of rights or you end up in prison should be the law.
