Come and get it!

The slides, ex my talking, are available here: http://storage.denninger.net/ftw-tea.pdf

Most regular Ticker readers have seen this all before, but it might be a useful "card deck" to distribute to people who have trouble understanding without a concise visualization.

Enjoy!

Karl, the chart labeled 1953-1970 (first chart)is actually 1953-1980

Easily worth the five minutes it takes to go through those slides.

Karl put some work into this. Nice job, Karl.

Cant see if a vid link is up from work.

Did you hit the ponzi angle with the new generation coming up? How are the millennials supposed to buy your stuff when they're sunk in debt and making less with devalued money?

No video link -- I did not record the presentation, so all you get is the slides.

I can tell from the slides the presentation must have been pretty jaw dropping. Rarely these days do you get charts not paired with technical analysis people fall asleep but rather with SEE THAT CLIFF THATS YOUR STANDARD OF LIVING GOING BYE BYE.

In slide 7, "Nixon's employer-provided health care"?

I thought employer provided care as a fringe benefit was brought in during WWII to attract workers during wage controls. I know it was available during hte 1960s. What did Nixon do?

Nixon imposed wage and price controls; employers responded by making health care a "fringe benefit" on a near-universal basis as it was pretty much the only "dodge" available. That's how it got wide acceptance.

I very rarely comment in the Ticker forum section, more of a reader and lurker. That said, I was moved to comment based on the deck you provided. It's clear, consice, easy to read, and is not biased or politicized to one party or the other in any way.

It really should be required reading for everyone. Can I ask a question, is your book (which I haven't ordered yet) written in a similar fashion and easy to ready? I ask because I'm thinking about ordering a copy for my dad.

Thanks for posting that great material!

And how did your audience accept this information?

On your health cost projection of historical increases giving us 15 years until spending consumes everything, that does not seem to take into account baby boomers retiring correct? If so you grossly understated the problem. Optimist!

They all liked it. They seem to be rather more "switched on" than one might think.
