All I can tell you is I would imagine if Zimmerman had anything against him, the police would have held onto him. Here they put you in jail if you stand up to someone threatening you. I had a friend get 10 years felony probation for merely acting as if he would defend himself if touched. The bar associations need money so their members can pay their student loans..

We can yell and scream all we want, but until they actually start the riots nation wide, there is no action we can take that will matter.
IMO, this is being directed from the White House.
The Dept of InJustice will not lift a finger, until white neighborhoods
begin to act like Koreans. Then they will crack down on the evil Whities.
The game is on. Even if this case blows over or is yanked from the headlines
because it is falling apart, they will find another.
I still hope I'm crazy, but am losing that hope.

Well summer is coming and all the "disenchanted people" from the OWS protest are still out there. The focus of OWS is against the people who make contributions to congress and the president.
What better way to divert the attention of this summer's discontent from Washington and Wall Street and direct that energy into a giant freeking race war?
America will be so involved in watching the daily killings, they will be too involved to point the finger to Washington.

Frankly, this makes me happy I live in a lily-white rural area where everyone is armed to the teeth.
My elderly parents, unfortunately, are in the danger zone in a declining mixed-race neighborhood on the edge of what is turning into a slum. I worry a lot about them. My mom already started to get hassled in the mostly-black grocery store just after the 2008 election simply because she's white and it's only going to get worse.
There is NOTHING white people can say against these bad elements. Any chastisement of such behavior has to come from the sane and well behaved black members of society of which there are many. But they don't speak out against these dirtbags in their midst and I don't know why.

The blacks who are willing to seriously listen to lily-white me are not the trash causing the problems. The black community must solve this problem itself. The only thing whites can do to help is maintain our principles about refraining from racist assumptions. Need I say the same applies to the Hispanic community. The Trayvon case fits into a large number of folks' pre-conceptions about America. That is how most people interpret reality. You have a framework of beliefs that you try to shoe-horn reality into. We didn't kill 100,000 women, children and elderly Iraqis in the last Iraq invasion - that would be a horrible thing to have to deal with. Instead, we liberated a country. That sounds better, doesn't it? That is the framework that most folks have about America - always virtuous, doing things for a good reason.
And so because of the history of America, and the two tiered justice system that African Americans had historically labored under, what might be a non-racially motivated event gets interpreted within this framework based upon past history. This is entirely understandable, and it serves no purpose to assume an attitude of superiority over folks who look at the case in this way. Put it in the context of American history and cut folks some slack. And yes, please let the facts speak for themselves, everyone.

Your reaction is exactly what I described in my post. It is unfathomable that America could have killed that many women, children and elderly in your framework, so you reject it outright. It is unfathomable that George Zimmerman could have killed an assailant who attacked him in the framework of many African Americans, and so they reject it. Thanks for proving my point.
If I provide the reference will you promise to read it? First, when asked in an interview about this, George W. waived off the question and said it could have been 10-20,000 civilians we killed in Iraq, but he didn't care. But I am not going to go back through news footage to find that.
Here is the reference citing 100,000 women, children, and elderly killed in the Iraq invastion - blown to bits and burned alive by coaliton (i.e. American) air power. It had been published in a well respected, peer reviewed medical journal, The Lancet.
