Just wait for the Wisconsin recall Walker vote. That should be some fun and games with many half truths and downright lies.

Did any of our wonderful TFers happen to grab a screen cap of the poll at any point last night? Steinbeck?

My cache has a copy, but unfortunately it is from way too early in the poll...
594 (87%) Yes; 79 (11%) No; 5 (0%) Undecided; total of 678 votes at the time.

Pull out your cable connecting your computer to the net and then visit the page again... should give you the cached version with the old results. No?

No, it appears that the "poll runner" actually modified the numbers.

Seems like the poll runner has adopted the modern .GOV methodology of operations and is practicing those methods. Lesson Learned. Screw the Math. It don't matter. If the math don't work out to your favor, just change the numbers.

that or someone ran a simple bot that voted automatically. I run no script, and adblock which blocks cookies among other things. I was able to vote over and over and the vote count would increase and register my vote. As long as I kept the votes to it seemed around 1 a second it did not kick me out. If I sped up any quicker than that it would lock me out for 5 min or so. So put 20 or so pc's to work with a simple script voting over and over again, and well you see how the vote ended up where it did.

from the comments in the article it seems after they realized fedup was advertising the poll as it should, it pushed a nerve. Like they said **** it, were gonna play dirty now.

My 2cents. I dont thing there is any conspiracy here. none is needed. They left it that easy to manipulate on purpose. Who is gonna be up at 4am to realize what they are doing and attempt to launch a counter effort.

i think Karl is right, because the last time I checked the No was winning by a significant amount. Looks like the Tickerheads have some influence out there. I found another good book about the Levithian, written in 1935 by a guy named Nock. He was predicting the FSA would loot the treasury. Rothbard mentioned this guy, a protege of H.L Menken and Frank Chodorov. He said in so many words that we will probably have to be there to pick up the pieces when they are done wrecking the country.

Amazing, they did rig this poll didn't they. The No's haven't gotten a single vote since I looked yesterday when they were ahead almost 2 to 1. They will go to any length to lie.

Actually what pushed the nerve was that I posted in the comments that they were barking up the wrong tree, referring to FedUpUSA as 'out of Troy (foreign)' influence - by posting that FedUpUSA is and always was headquartered in Troy, MI.
http://www.fedupusa.org/about-us/ So, that absolutely gutted their defense of the overwhelmingly NO votes the majority of the day, by trying to accuse FedUpUSA of having no interest in Troy. THAT*****ed them off no end. Apparently, not one of the idiots linking to FedUp actually bothered to READ FedUp. smiley So, they were proven patently and egregiously wrong in their accusation.

Hogman - Actually, the demographics in Troy are that the median household income is well over $65,000 and the vast majority are of working age. It's too expensive here for young people and most retirees move out to somewhere warmer and to a smaller home. The average square footage of a house in Troy is over 1,500, with the majority being over 2,500. This is FAR from the bastion of the FSA. The fact is that the county in which Troy resides is the wealthiest county in the state and one of the top 3 cities in that county per capita income.

This is where the corporate cronyism comes in. THEY are the ones that inflamed the GLT Alliance. These nice, big, members of the Chamber of Commerce (traditionally right-wing) that wanted to keep their nice tax abatements in exchange for supporting the government funds to be received with the Transit Center. So, we have the right-wing corporate cronyists using the left-wing GLT groups to work together against the Mayor. Isn't that cute? The REAL FSA here are the big corporations. The liberals and the GLT groups have nothing to really gain monetarily or otherwise by removing Janice, as they aren't asking for anything other than her removal - it's the big corporations that stand to gain substantially by continuing their preferrential tax status established by the previous City Administration. It would be comical if there was a simple way to stop this, because the left-wing rag The Patch and the GLT groups are being USED by right-wing fascists and they don't even KNOW it.

What we DO have is a very diverse population - many Asians (Indian, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese) who work in the auto supplier industry. These people sometimes get their panties in a twist over any perceived 'prejudice' against minority groups. The GLT Alliance knew precisely what they were doing when they took an enormous amount of time to go through Janice Daniels' personal Facebook archives going back a number of years. What's amusing is that in context, the ONLY thing they found they could use against her, over many years of Facebook posts, was that one comment.

Stinky - we can ALWAYS use volunteers. We will be needing people to stuff envelopes and distribute fliers/literature, for instance.
