I just can't see him as a lying thief. Can any of you?

I can see the same ones causing this incident to be the same ones that supplied the credit card statements.

Any day now we're going to learn Ron Paul pockets an iphone.

"Any day now we're going to learn Ron Paul pockets an iphone."

Or has a DSK type incident with a chamber maid.

I more than suspect nobody even gets onto a ballot paper any more, unless they are blackmailable, or already being blackmailed.

They are just puppets. Highly paid puppets.

I dont believe in any politicians, not even Ron Paul, I just dont trust any of them but this seems a stretch.

What if someone else handles his finances and they screwed up, after all he does have a lot on his plate?

If he was petty to the point of deliberately pocketing double reimbursements for travel there would be plenty of other examples of chicanery and I have not heard of any such cases.

The thought occurs to me...What is Roll Calls agenda, who are they backing or who's backing them?

I fully expected there to be hit pieces and mud slinging against Ron Paul from all sides because you know TPTB from every camp dont want Ron Paul of all people as President, they wouldn't even want him on a ticket as VP.

So if this is the best they could come up with....???

There must be countless ways for a guy in his position to scam money and lots of it so this sounds more like a book keeping error than anything sinister to me.

Wow, this is big. If RP wants to make good, he not only needs to cut a check to the U.S. Treasury for the amount of money he was reimbursed by the taxpayer for those flights, but do a full accounting of his other expenses. There was a consistent pattern with the double-reimbursed flights and his people need to audit for similar patterns elsewhere.

The guy who has been agitating to audit the Fed doesn't look quite so good now does he?

I, too, get the impression it was not intentional, and concur with others here that (like the newsletters) this suggests poor management on his part, and an executive needs to be able to manage people with integrity or his administration gets tarnished. Administrations tarnished by scandal have been the rule, not the exception for God knows how long.

Audit the Fed is about the most substantive thing RP has done. I also concur with others that he appears to do a lot of fire-breathing but then does nothing.

My question is - if we are correct in that assessment of him, and his campaign either goes down in flames because of this issue, or he does not get the nomination (the latter the most likely scenario) then what are all those supporters going to direct their energy on next? In the former case, a great deal of disillusionment could lead to anger.
