Do I have to be running IE when I click to use the provided TPLs to implement? Any pointers on how to implement the YouTube work around? Are there MAC OS versions of the TPLs?   THANK YOU VERY MUCH, KARL !

Ciaoboniface, that will change. Support for IE6 is all but dead, and IE7 will be on the chopping block shortly. With Win8 in development (and already functional, I might add) which carries IE10 (also functional) MS is getting eager to ditch support for old code, as users are demanding their browser perform more and better functions. Very soon, IE8 will be the dominant browser...then IE9...then IE10... Google, with this colossal ****up, almost ensures IE's dominance for the next several years. New users of Google's Chrome browser, wooed away from IE and FF both, are sure to bail in droves now...either back to IE or back to FF. Oops.

The hosts file blocks ALL access to the site in question.
The .tpl file blocks only third party calls (e.g. embeds.) If you type in "www.google.com", it still works.

As an aside, I lost a lot of respect for Adblock + when they decided that some ads were good for me.
