Good luck trying to vote out 500+ CONgress Members. How's that been working out over the past couple decades? More Gerrymandering, no problem.

It will be interesting to see what my AG (Coakley) has to say, especially since we have not one, but two Landmark decisions here in The Commonwealth during this debacle.

Well, good luck with that peaceful protesting bit, I'm sure it will work out.

Not that there was any question about The Rule of Law before, but if anyone had any doubt, hopefully this removes all doubt there is none, FOR THEM, CONgress and those they enable.

The can they have been kicking hurt too much. So they replaced it with a paper cup. Next time they get close to it, they will just step on it and say, "Game over, we won." Or maybe they just did that.

Rule of Law, R.I.P.
It's been gone for a long time, really. This is just one more "emperor has no clothes" kind of moment that will result in more people around the world coming to the realization that America is NOT a safe place to do any kind of business...

Money is fungible and those that have it will simply find a better, safer, more trustworthy, more stable place to put it to work.

Sad stuff, but not surprising to most TF'ers I'm sure.

1. When the system enables fraud, collusion, misrepresentation of risk, moral hazard (the separation of risk and gain) and embezzlement, then it also rewards them. When breaking the rules in a systematic fashion garners huge rewards in wealth and power while playing by the rules dooms one to lower returns on the same investment of labor and capital, then the system itself is thoroughly, totally, completely, hopelessly corrupt.

Since America has enabled financial fraud, embezzlement etc. on a systemic basis, America itself is thoroughly, totally, completely, hopelessly corrupt. There is no other logical conclusion.

2. When the rule of law is routinely bypassed, flouted, negated or simply ignored without triggering uniformly applied consequences, then the system is thoroughly, totally, completely, hopelessly corrupt. Since America's financial and political Elites have routinely bypassed, flouted, negated or simply ignored the laws governing mortgages, finance, insider trading, etc., actions that would lead to an average citzen's arrest, indictment and routine conviction, then we must conclude that America itself is thoroughly, totally, completely, hopelessly corrupt. There is no other logical conclusion.

There are thus two distinct problems. The system, though nominally legal, is corrupt. The financial and political Elites (the Power Elites, or the Plutocracy) as a matter of course are not bound by the same laws that control the non-Elite citizenry.

The government have given themselves the power. The OWS protesters were roughed up pretty well, and very few paid respect to this issue. I don't think this population is up to the mental capacity to resist. Isolated resistance will be put down like a dog by all to willing troops. At that point, will it be the banks, or the government?

Keep in mind, who doesn't go peacefully may not be the well intentioned hard working citizens. It could be the poor starving masses.

Just listened to an "update" newscast on the radio. Yippy, families fraudclosed on will get a $1500 check. News for the masses.

SHOCKER!

"These institutions" are a national treasure and are integral to the functions of national security.

Rules/laws do not apply as "You" would understand them.

Along with how broad the releases would be, California’s attorney general, Kamala Harris, also pushed for her state to be able to use the state’s False Claims Act. That would enable state officials and huge pension funds like Calpers to collect sizable monetary damages from the banks if officials could prove mortgages were improperly packaged into securities that later dropped in value.

Hm... there's your 'payoff'...?

Hell, this should be good for a 250 point up day tomorrow. In fact, this should get us over 14K by close on Friday.

Excuse me while I go puke in some bank lobby!

As to the one poster, yeah, this makes me want to go out an buy a home, not knowing who has title. As Jim Healy used to say, "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRIGHT!

KD, I love your efforts man, but nothing will change. CONgress is bought and paid for. The sheeple only care about AI and DWTS. The FSA, well, what more needs be said about them.

Nothing will change until the National Credit Card is declined by the world.

At that point I can only hop I have about 6 months of canned soup and chili in the pantry because if even half the people on food stamps are legit, it is going to be one helluva a riot when the dam finally breaks.

Not promoting it but this wont end until violence takes its toll on those in positions of authority that have defrauded the people. And that will occur when the people realize it.

The usurpers do their utmost to ensure you never hear about such things being done here in America.

One man had had enough of the injustice in the courts (family courts in this instance), and burned himself to death in protest in front of a Keene, New Hampshire courthouse.
