That would give the courts wiggle room to equate "natural born" with "native born".

I really hope that even though the plaintiff has "stipulated" that they're not challenging the birth certificate(s), that SOMEHOW the authenticity of the birth certificates does come before the court. You know, like on Law & Order, when evidence that was obtained without a search warrant somehow gets admitted another way. Maybe one of the historical experts on the definition of "natural born" could swing by the White House and see the fake birth certificates in Adobe Illustrator in "plain view".

Low, this whole issue is straining at gnats while swallowing camels. I have had no illusions about the integrity of elected government officials since, well, ever, and they continue to live down to my expectations. But this issue is solely about generating bad press to gain political power, just as the Lewinsky fiasco was. The truth is incidental, whatever it is. The controversy is what's important.

I am a pragmatic person. Disproving Obama's citizenship does absolutly nothing to help our country, even if there was anything to it. (As I often say: conspiracy is rare, but incompetence is common.)

And as Karl often points out in a different context: you can't win a bet on the end of the world.

@buck - "fact checking" sites are BS. They're no more reliable than any other blog or media outlet. There's no easy out - you have to do the research yourself.

The motives of anyone attempting to stake a claim of authority over truth should be viewed with the deepest suspicion.


by the way, as far as "extraordinary evidence" goes... hard to produce evidence when virtually all of Obama's records are sealed, missing, or proven to be altered. School records - totally gone. Records of how he paid for Harvard and Columbia - missing. His school applications are missing too. In fact, his whole pre-public life is a black hole from which we have almost exclusively his own word to take for it. Wouldn't you agree that that qualifies as extraordinary in itself?

Obama has fought this fight before and has somehow always come out ahead. There is nothing to indicate the outcome will be different. Also What is the over under than not one MSM network will touch this? This will go the way of the dodo. Mark my words.

I gotta admit I'm intrigued by this. Not because I'm looking forward to the violent race wars it will incite, but because if it's true it would be the most monumental event in my lifetime.

But I don't believe for a second it will ever get to the Supreme Court, and certainly not before the Nov election.

And I haven't seen a decent rebuttal to the flaws in the WH released BC. All the replies so far have been nothing but eye rolling and name calling. I'd love to read a point by point explanation of all the flaws but none has been forthcoming.

It's more likely that if this gains legs, Obama would likely not run for another term. He has already said that his family did not want him running again.

Although, the thing that makes Obama such an attractive president to the TPTB is that he is easily removed from office if he starts straying from their agenda.

Georgia primary vote is March 6, 2012. The court hearing is January 26.

You can almost smell the injunction request coming. Even so, they have limited time to sort out what happens on March 6.

1) We could get rid of Eric Holder and maybe prosecute some bankers.

2) It would rattle Congress so that some might come to understand that this is a government of, by, and for the people. Without the consent of the governed, there is no legitimacy for the government.

3) There would be the upside of a big wake-up call for people who have told themselves that the only threats to our country or our people would be from "terrorists" who enter our country on commercial flights. Too many people want to be kept safe so they can live in a free society and completely miss that the safety and freedom are circling the drain in the same vortex. Then again, there is a certain level of unease and rising cynicism in the land. People need to be able to realize how much corruption has built up and learn some of the specifics.

4) There would be the upside similar to getting a cancer diagnosis -- the sooner the better so that treatment can be curative with the pain and destruction and loss of function minimized. If allowed to continue, cancer takes over and kills the host who is afraid to face the facts.

I lived through the Watergate hearings while I was in college. We survived as a country. This current abscess needs to be opened and drained. It will be disgusting and stinky and leave an ugly mark, but avoiding the treatment will only allow us to be further sickened and weakened. Do it.
