I hope this does go somewhere. However, I never understood why people weren't approaching this from the other side... "natural born citizen"? His father was not a US citizen which automatically disqualifies him from being POTUS. Same goes for Marco Rubio.
I guess we take what we can get. Isn't there also a law now in AZ that says all candidates must show the original long form bc before they can be on the ballot?

for a good wtf, read Obama’s Motion to Dismiss. they argue that the democratic party has a right of association therefore they can put anyone up for candidate for potus they want...the rest of the constitution doesn't mattet

Mpilar , I guess I didn't read far enough into it. My bad. I could have sworn though that AZ did pass or try to pass a law that would require Obama to supply a legal copy of his long form.. altho that could be a moot point as well since we've seen the forged one.

Twainfain, I'm not sure whatever happened to the AZ law, I remember that though. I don't think it matters that much though, since SCOTUS has already defined "natural born citizen" and Obama doesn't qualify based on Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 167 (1875).
I'm happy to see this moving forward based on this instead of the forged birth certificate...I think this has a better chance of making an impact.
