We Need Citizens Arrests And Trials

This sort of thing has gone well beyond "policy" and in my opinion borders on criminal incitement:

The truth is, right now the U.S. economy needs a little more inflation, not less. It’s sacrilege, I know, but our slavish devotion to low-inflation policies is keeping us mired in a depression.

The truth is that such policies (intentional inflation) amounts to theft of earned capital from the prudent.

Theft is a crime.  In the case where the amount in question is large enough (and that threshold is surprisingly small in reality) it is a felony for which one can imprisoned for a term of many years.

Even better, an organized conspiracy - that is, two or more people combining their efforts to commit a predicate felony - likely meets the definition of Racketeering.  Indeed, one of the predicate offenses in the RICO law is robbery.

I think it's about time that we stop this nonsense and as the citizens of this nation start demanding the criminal investigation, indictment and prosecution of each and every person who advocates, advances, promotes or intentionally causes inflationary policies, given that:

  1. They are, at their core, nothing more than common theft.

    and

  2. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913, as amended, explicitly states that one of the goals of monetary policy is Stable Prices (and the word "Stable" is defined in Websters as "unchanging.")

The original Coinage Act (of 1792) provided that the penalty for intentional debasement of the currency was death.

It's time to bring that law back onto the books and start enforcing it; the gallows can be erected right in front of the Wall Street "bull" or in front of the Washington Monument - pick one.

Or America can have two places where there's gallows. One gallows for the politicians and one gallows for the bankers.

All execution on PPV to solve the deficit. :)

This ticker is on to something.

A core, defining issue.

No inflation means stable money.

It solves the debt problem, the money in politics problem, it solves a ton of ****, and all should be able to agree. How do we take this message to ows?

KD: I agree that the time has come to begin arrests.

I am also convinced that the power structure will continue to protect the bad actors, and the only recourse will be that Citizens make arrests, for LEO will not do it.

Where does the moral tripwire exist that permits a private Citizen to take matters into his own hands and deliver a hog-tied Bankster to the steps of the courthouse?

But assuming there are productivity improvements over time, wouldn't a zero (price) inflation policy still be regarded as theft since you'd expect a gradual deflation in prices over time (all other things being equal)?

I think only the "hard money", 100% reserve advocates could truly argue that their monetary system doesn't include any theft.

It's not that I'm a hard money advocate, because I'm not. My point is that it can be thought of as "theft" any time the money supply is artificially manipulated, even if it does result in stable prices.

Jsp, deflation in prices is a good thing. Sound money (no inflation) rewards the producers and savers, and the flakes punish themselves through excessive borrowing. Right now, we have the exact opposite, and it's government policy.

Bang on. The inflationary bubbles they like so much, are completely criminal. I've even begun to believe they are intentional, which is not a great thought to have floating around. Its all too convenient, the property bubble has made MASSIVE amount of the population debt slaves. Yet anyone with common sense who DIDN'T add to the problem by getting involved gets killed with ZIRP, its a one two punch.

Not going to happen. Too many great and evil thinkers have had too much time to perpetuate this fraud and to steer the wealth away from the productive and into the hands of the FSA in entitlements and the 1%'ers, stripping anything the middle class could ever hope to have saved. Anything the average middle class individual could have saved was, as it turns out, highly manipulated.
The FSA is guaranteed their monthly pay check, housing, EBT, etc. All they have to do is show up to the welfare office and it's all good.
The 1%'ers on the other hand control the flow of the money and with it the influence of .gov, thus keeping the FSA with just enough scratch to keep them under control.
The middle class have been indoctrinated to take sides on everything from abortion to gay marriage, and you are either Blue or Red. Heaven forbid you are you are against both abortion and the death penalty and an Independent.
We are the biggest of the three groups but have been so manipulated and divided that we cannot see eye to eye, so we WILL lose.

However, if (and when) that day comes to stand up and be counted, I WILL make my way to the front of the line. Not just for family, but for liberty and freedom.

Resist? I really doubt these fat-asses could overwhelm three or four determined guys with a pair of handcuffs. The real difficulty will be that cops will get involved--if not at the scene of the arrest, at the time the bankster is delivered to the courthouse steps. Guess who will be under arrest.

Create inflation? Well, what the hell has the Fed been doing by having ZIRP, buying a trillion dollars of Ts, lending money into the financial system on bupkis collateral, buying tons of worthless securites.....? About the only thing BB has not done to encourage inflation is fire up the helicopter (actually, dropping wads of Benjamins might be a good way to distract the OWS crowds).

Also, before we get out the gallows for some rube's inflammatory use of his First Amendment rights, we might wish to read his words carefully for mitigating sentiments. While he does suggest the Wiemar solution (or is that final solution?) he also says this:
Quote:
Bankruptcy remains the best option, but the scale of the problem is overwhelming the legal and financial systems’ ability to write down debts fast enough.

While I don't think the problem with bankruptcy is delay, the problem is TPTB would have to bankrupt their patrons for this to be effective, this sentiment somewhat mitigates his foolish conclusion. Perhaps a sharp caning and community service (beheading banksters perhaps) would be more apropos.

While I understand everyone's anger, "citizen arrests" and "trials" (citizen trials?) are what went on during the French Revolution. Do you really want Obama or some other politician to end up with the power of a Napoleon or worse?

Karl, I love ya, but locking people up for advocating a position puts us on the ultimate slippery slope, does it not? If we lock up this clown for advocating inflation, everyone on this site that has ever advocated stringing up a banker will be in pound-me-in-the-a** prison in no time.
