Coaster who says it -- QE3 -- is not an option?

Ummm, did you notice that I phrased it as a question in response to Gen's comment, which was:

Politically, further QE risks severe reactions in too many places. I don't see it; it didn't work and now it's not just bloggers like me saying it - Greedscam said it this morning on national television.

I was asking what the options are to QE3. As someone else here has already said, we seem to be in the asset-stripping phase of the American economic experience. The most obvious asset for the government to seize now is private pension funds and endowments. Luckily, I'm old enough to empty my 401k immediately.

There WILL be a QEIII but it will NOT have that name - guaranteed.

Fed job #1 is to save the TBTF banksters who have not been accounting for their RE losses but eventually their lack of cash flow will raise that to crisis (again).

How about a Trillion$ "Rebuild America" act where the US creates an uber housing agency that will buy millions of foreclosed homes from the big banksters at "fair values" that will save the banks from their lending folly. Rebuild America will borrow the money from these same big banks who will lend freshly
printed currency they get from the Fed for almost nothing, thus clearing a few percent in exchange for letting the US rescue them. Rebuild America's loans will be guaranteed by US but will not be counted towards the debt ceiling. Rebuild America will parcel out millions of renovation jobs to unemployed small construction businesses and will verify that the work is done by americans and documented workers (no more waves of $80/day mexican construction workers).Rebuld America will create a House America agency to rent out these millions of homes until housing prices recover enough to hopefully breakeven.
