Excellent Point - although you may need to include the taxi driver. Get rid of illegal taxi drivers. (I don't know the immigration status of taxi driver is)

Don't forget to ban the ammo for the cars too. It is dispensed through a large caliber gun with no trigger guard and should one desire, the ammo can be used to make giant fireballs, which could take even more lives than a lone driver in a cab.
At minimum, all of these evil monsters should come equipped with front and back air bags to protect pedestrians. Currently airbags are only installed to protect the perpetrators! What kind of country do we live in? The only reason we have these on the highway is that big oil and the UAW support them. As we know, Obama is a big supporter of the UAW so don't expect anything to happen in this administration.
I actually expected more of this copy cat auto weapons since the Egyptian video coverage.

What you really have to do is eliminate the driving exam to get a license.
Actually better just eliminate the need of a driver license.
Cars don’t kill people, people do.
And no registration will also be good, is just annoying and allows the government to track us.
Just make mandatory for every adult in the US to have and drive a car so we all take responsibility and begin to drive properly and respectfully.

There is no need at all for anyone to own an automobile with 6, 8, 10, or even 12 cylinders.

don't be ridiculous. no one is calling for the banning of cars, trucks or normal taxi cabs. we are only trying to restrict access to the so called *assault* cabs. there is no constitutionally fundamental right to possess assault cabs and there is no reason in modern, civilized society to own one.
this feeble attempt to conflate common sense regulation into a right wing "evil government trampling rights" screed is childish and unnecessary. you can have your cars and trucks. just not assault cabs. or cabs that have the thing that goes up. and what rational person needs a cab with more than 10 mile range? a cab built with greater than 10 mile range is designed with only one thing in mind. to kill people. these simple common sense regulations are obviously prudent and justified.
