If you are unable to outrun it, and if you're a human without mechanical assistance you are unable, then you are reduced to two options. Entities that have taken upon themselves the characteristics of such an animal leave one with the above three options: withdraw if one can to where the entity cannot harm you, submit and accept whatever is to come, including your physical death, or kill that which seeks to do you harm before it can inflict that harm upon you.
