I just wanted to thank KD as well. I'm a newbie,but I have learned so much from this forum. It was you Karl,who got me off my ass and writing,calling every politician I could. The first time I had ever written my congressman was last month.He's heard quite a bit from me since and has stopped returning my calls/emails hehehe. You tried to stop this. All of your efforts were not lost on me and I'm sure there are many more like me that you helped inform.

I said it the first time I ever signed on. I learned early you can't win a fight against the big boys when their interests are opposed to yours. And life is too short to keep fighting those fights so go enjoy it.

You are an amazing man.. I really am impressed. I figure my shorts this year which has saved my portfolio against all the homes i own will be taxed at 200% so i'm going to play volleyball on the beach and remember life, family and friends are beautiful things wherever the market is.

Gen, why don't you consider placing this ticker in the Tallahassee Democrat 'letters to the editor' section? Boyd reads it and if he misses it, someone will let him know about it since he lives in Monticello. It will do alot of damage since there's alot of people around here who are fed up, anyway.

We need a copy of the air emergency instruction card (or whatever it's called) that was used in fight club to replace the real ones. That one ROCKED.

After all this time with the markets teetering on the edge of collapse, I think I'm almost used to the idea now even though it does still make me feel sorry for all the people that are getting screwed. What really saddens me, though, is that I'm still 2-3 weeks away from being able to trade real money. And it's not even greed, believe it or not. I've not been able to work for several years now because of a medical condition and trading from home is one of my last options for a job, such that it is.

Oh well. I'll be here and be in whether it's going up or down.

Reading that ticker was one of the scariest and saddest moments in my life. I am really scared about the future. Thank you so much KD. I was not someone who was able to get out debt (trail end of college, and there's just been no way), but I have been mentally preparing myself for this and taking the precautions I've been able to. The ticker literally has changed my life and the way I think about things. Thank you so much again.

What exactly does all this mean? Whether we have Treasuries in a mutual fund, or have purchased Treasuries directly, we are screwed? If so, I guess this means that a CD at a bank is worthless too, as there is nothing left of the government to back the CDs?

We all appreciate the tireless effort you put into an attempt to stop this from happening. We were all there with you. All I was able to get back from the powers to be was that I was simply being a cold hearted bastard in not wanting to help bail out our fellow Americans. They are truely clueless, and have killed us all.

Thanks again, and at least we have the very smart persons on this board that will allow us to navigate these very uncharted waters.
