Bw, I have repeatedly provided exactly that.
Are you capable of reading? You're one of the "we're all dead" folks and have been since this started.
I am frankly tired of the naysayers who's ONLY act is to that.
It is going to STOP around here in places it does not belong.
I simply am not going to tolerate any more of it. Absolutely none.
Those who will not stop it are leaving immediately and permanently. You can choose to work to fix it or not, but I will no longer tolerate people sniping and bitching for the purpose of doing so. No more.
Period.

Genesis wrote..4sight, this applies to you too. Back up your crap with REAL ANSWERS instead of goading or you too are gone. Dear Genesis: Here is your real answer from ME: I hope you are not deliberately misunderstanding me, since I am "on your side" for the cause of increasing awareness, and protecting my fellow citizens' hard earned wealth, lobbying my elected representatives with your generously provided help, and taking action within my skill "set" to help people keep their heads above water when in the future a hurricane raises the storm surge above the altitude of this island Earth. I am working almost full time on software which will help people invested in the markets keep whatever money they have earned, not be fleeced by predators, and perhaps earn their own fair share of profit. Presently too much software is dedicated either to doing research at a high mathematical-barrier level, or to providing a conduit for leading people to one or another of many competing brokers. I am seriously working to create software for consumption by anybody who can read which helps to solve the problems of how to stay out of "squeezes" and deliberately created "black swan" situations such as the housing debt problems, unfunded mandates, or the futures and stock market short squeezes which you are asking me and others here to try to provide solutions for. I do not know how to face machine guns or trained lobbyists and martial artists, but I do know some signal processing technology, and software based enabling technology. I cannot promise to save the world, or make you like me, but I do know some people with good heads on their shoulders who are supporting me. I am very sure that they would support you and already do support your opinions, too, as my own Senator does. Too bad they are part of a minority. I hate seeing a minority vote being discounted to zero after it is cast. If you are interested in further correspondence on this subject, you're very welcome to contact me privately at my email address which I have registered with you. Best Regards, Steve Eberbach, A.K.A. 4sight...

I am talking about people starting this **** about "The Joos" - I have had it with this garbage and am not going to put up with it.
I don't care who it is - there are a number of agitators here in various parts of the system and I am systematically removing them, one by one.
I want truth and I'm done the game-playing and baiting.

My family is like the majority of Americans. They simply don't want to hear about this. Two months ago I saw an article in the Wall Street Journal that banks were going to fail. I sent it to my family, and every day from that point, I found something of interest in MSM or occasionally one of these tickers to send them.
Within 2 weeks, one sister said the articles were too pessimistic, and didn't want anymore and besides, she had a vacation to get ready for. Another sister was concerned so she went to her professional financial planner who said there was turmoil in stocks, so move investments into bonds. Another sister's financial planner said don't worry when the market goes down, it will go back up. Another brother doesn't take the time to read my emails and remove him from my distribution list. Another sister and her spouse are vacationing on an island for a month, no access to news, but plenty of time for scuba diving.
I have concluded 95% Americans will wake up when they can't use their credit card, when they can't get a loan, when the lights go out.
It's sad that so many people place hobbies, vacations, and electronic toys above the welfare of their lives, and of their country.

In a prior post, Karl said...
"I'm totally unelectable folks; I refuse to lie."
Perhaps. But you can be appointed without public comment or any sort of review-approval process.
Oops. That sounds radical. Maybe it is. But for those that really want to reclaim the country, it may take RADICAL INVASIVE SURGERY.
Some will say the people won't go along with it. I say when people have their "bread" and "circuses", they don't care who is really in charge.
Some will compare this to the 1930s and a specific country. Big difference here. We don't need to expand our borders. In fact, we should contract our empire until most Americans have a better standard of living.
Then someone will say, most people have a good standard of living. Of course, when financed by choking DEBT. Then my challenge becomes read the so-called poverty level numbers here in the USA. It's a big number. Imagine trying to raise a family of four at those numbers. See that the number keeps rising. Think it won't keep rising? Then read the median numbers.
Karl, hope I am on topic and thanks for the opportunity to vent.
Let me close with an anecdote (also a first person observation). When I take a walk through my complex, I pick up paper trash and things like that. A new low was set today (8/20). Someone actually used a VISA card to charge a $2.70 meal at Sonic Drive-In.

Great Ticker!
Champ bingo!
Boz how to win chicks and influence women!?!
Cynic Yea, you can. If she wanted a job, she'd have emailed. He isn't hard to find. If she had eaten humble pie, she'd offer him something for his efforts - like a home-cooked meal or shopping assistance.
Mtgspy Yea, it's for real! Would KD ever lie to you?
I'm getting the same stuff from a retired neighbor, an unemployed young person selling a chair, a way too young employed person that played one woman for rent and me for dinners out. (I kind of figured I was getting played, so, from the get-go, I made it about hanging out with people MY age or older.) It's that bad out there.
I think Suze Orman's right check the FICO, bank balance and employment history BEFORE you open the door KD! You WANT a spouse spending it before it's made? Even a HOT one?
Bluebird I hear ya. I'm getting the same response, I started with my favorite aunt in Dec before I knew about ticker, but I knew then after a week of reading that the banks were all insolvent. One of my cousins was at Indymac and chose a new bank based on the "deal" not the safety - not that it's easy to figure that out anymore.
I don't think they see the connection between the welfare of the nation and their bank accounts. Once they do see it, fixing it will be more painful. If we can help friends and family make that connection and come out of denial into the light, then, we will have accomplished the difficult part.
I sent an email around with the last ticker video on F&F bill that was PG to my email list that I care about. (I was very glad it was PG, so, I did not have to filter.) I told them that their taxes were going to skyrocket if this bill passed. The response was nil.
My co-worker decided to believe his brokers instead of me and figures that if most of his stock is not in America that he's safe. He's the only co-worker I bothered with cause he has a child that is dependent for life.
I'm sure we will all be vindicated sooner than later, but, I'd rather not watch my friends and family bleed. At least now some of the MSM is telling the truth some of the time.
Yea, KD, it's because you're unelectable that we read you regularly! I don't even bother with MSM for anything other than weather anymore.
Fay has me stir crazy after 2 days of shutters, rain and wind!

Laura - looks like we registered about the same time in May. None of my family reads blogs, so I had to wait until the MSM started telling some of the truth. My family still thinks of me as a bit nutty for reading blogs, but I love the ticker. I've gained a lot of knowledge and insight to what is going to befall us by reading this forum.
Soon I think we will all be vindicated; unfortunately, I don't think my family will be awake by then.
Stay safe from Fay! Send some of that rain to Ohio!
edit: I sent my family the link to the FedUp site with links to the video and KD's audio interview. No response. It's discouraging, but I'm not giving up. Eventually, something will register in their brain where our country is headed - probably after they realize their portfolio has lost most of its value.

Quote:i think 100% chance of depression no if ands or buts..... pure revolution is what it will take and then all hell breaks loose
ought to be one hell of an affair I agree Seth, and was exactly my point yesterday. However, I see that you have some special recognition by Gen since you did not get ass raped for stating a similar opinion. Gen - you are very intelligent, no doubt. Interestingly, you take a member of your quite small community and twists facts without even knowing their genuine intentions. Nor do you care to even solicit them. You form your own malevolent opinion based on your need to feel superior, IMO. You like ass raping those who may have a different opinion, or seem more informed than you. That's just my observation. While I think you have many great traits, and you are very intelligent, I think you have no semblance of what it takes to create a "fighting" force. I, for one, do not support people who are critical about my opinion and hope to prove a point by twisting the context of my message. I'm not one of your followers, I am simply a contributor. And I do not march to your drumbeat on politics or any other kind of activism. I joined this site for financial and trading information. Because you are the owner and my payment was a "contribution", now you feel that you must demand some sort of patriotism towards you? Quote:I am talking about people starting this **** about "The Joos" I don't know what the hell "Joo" is, but you probably mean "Jews". That type of step-around says a lot. You didn't seem to have any problems with "N" word which was much more derogative than simply stating "Jews". So there you have it. I'm sure you took great pleasure in bashing one of your members. What is it that I have done that threatens you?

You obviously didn't read the bulletin. You want to use the "N" word or anything else similar, whether in word, deed, or "step around", you do it in the Bar. You do it anywhere else, it gets bilged. This was clearly posted and is a change in policy. I've had enough of people thinking they can derail threads in the rest of the system with this crap and this last weekend announced that it STOPS NOW and those who cannot, or will not comport themselves with reasonable decorum in places OTHER THAN Off Topic and THE BAR will find their posting ability restricted and their "contributions" thrown in the bilge. Next time you get a memo, read it

Karl, First I'd like to thank you for being a true patriot for taking time out to inform the few Americans trying to find a way through this ****hole we are currently in. Second I would like to pass on a couple of anecdotes I have heard about recently. I am in the military so I have to move bases every few years. A new guy I work with was telling me about his experience selling his house. He was have a hard time selling it so he tried to rent it. He got a prospective renter and at the last minute the guy tells him "I have recently filed bankruptcy". This guy makes 100,000 a year and HAS NOT LOST HIS JOB. The guy I worked with asked him "how could you make 100K and be bankrupt". His answer: "I was buying too much **** I didn't need." This is not in California where the cost of living is high, this is in SOUTH CAROLINA!! Anecdote #2 A lady who is a friend of my wife's family (she is an older woman) husband died a few years ago and so she sold her house in Sacramento,CA for about $1,000,000. She also has a pension from her husband's job too. She bought her daughter a house and her son a trucking business, then moved to Phoenix and bout a 4000SQ FT house. SHE LIVES ALONE!! Why would she buy a house that big? Not to mention the Lexus and Jag she had!! Earlier this week I heard the Phoenix house is in foreclosure. And who knows how guaranteed that pension check from State of California is? If she would have respected the power of that money she would not be in the bind she is currently is. American excess will soon be a thing of the past. Americans need to take a look hard in the mirror because the slide is just beginning.
BTW, I used to live in Fort Walton Beach from 2002-2006 so I am well familiar with the "redneck riveria".

Gen,
A wonderfully clear and pointed ticker - thanks.
You make it obvious that we all need to get cracking individually and collectively to turn this thing. In several different ways, I've wanted a better life for all around me and worked for it for many years in the best ways I knew how and with what strengths I had.
I've always been a science nerd/nut, and believed that improvements in tools (incl. intellectual tools) would lift us up as a society. When I've tried to get others interested in computers/software ("It's history's greatest tool! Learn it and get an army of robots doing your work!!!"), I find that it's slow going.
Similarly, since my model of economics is as a proxy for thermodynamics, I find that getting a clue imparted to my circle of (gentle, furry, granola-headed) friends is similarly slow. I report this in the spirit of detection/recon, AND NOT CAPITULATION - I'm not giving up!
That said, I see a difficulty ahead of me: people change their views on a human timescale, whereas events and skullduggery (skullbuggery?) unfold in shorter and longer timescales - debt crises in decades, oil shocks and market crashes in minutes - and these do not come across to people who are not already in the habit of thinking (at all, let alone along these lines).
So I'll keep writing my congresscritter (who wrote back very nicely about the petition that she'll 'agree to disagree' with me - ain't she sweet?) as the fiasco unfolds, repeating the points I faxed her: $1T losses, 'no one could have foreseen', Hank was lying, etc., and maybe she'll get it at some point. And I'll keep explaining to my friends that mathematics is non-partisan, and the macro numbers are accessible, if grim, and maybe the light will go on.
But I'm afraid the bastards will run roughshod over us in the meantime, and maybe that's what we've set up by our inaction/nescience. I still need to learn how to get the clue imparted in short order without sounding like a wild-eyed kook, or worse, like a pigman mole ("Whad'jer mean, you saw this coming - and now I'm broke, and you're not? ... What *else* yew hidin', Poindexter?...).
I'll keep on, as I said. My style is gentle & coaxing, rather than confrontational, because of who I am. It'll take all kinds, and there are 300 friggin' million Americans out there, so others can get it in gear and use their own styles.
Your work provides me a healthy impulse to keep on, through the dismay and confusion. Kudos.

That's all, and that's enough for me. I've had my fun, and this casino stuff is a giggling good time when it works out well.

One of my old friend, a gay male, tells me that he went through a phase where he was the biggest ***** in town--I guess he had sex with anyone and everyone who was available and not either jail-bait or geriatric.
His take on this phase of his life is, "I made so many friends!" He is still gathering with scores of former ****-buddies for holiday parties.
Odd, isn't it, that it doesn't work that way if you're a woman? Instead of making scores of friends, you find you've made scores of enemies.
Give a guy a good time, and it seems he will surely hate you forever.
