I would not either consider him (E.S.) the best example of fighting corruption.
That observation is an important part of what this forum is talking about.

That leads to the insight that so many people who are lionized by the media as "credible" just happen to have sufficiently overriding flaws which allow an attempted easy dismantling of reputation. Does this have any relation to why efforts of sensible citizens to speak out are dismissed so easily?

Where are we as a civilization when sanity brands us as boring? Lacking credibility?

Does this happen by accident or by design?

Or is it simply inevitable as part of the human condition?

I feel strongly that these questions are at the heart of why our elected representatives so often (enough to cause a minority vote) seem to miss the point of what their constituents are saying.

Reason: redundant typo

Take their Bentley's, their mansions, and their fabulous lifestyles that were financed (literally) through fraud and lying. Until there are consequences for fraud and lying, along with consequences for making bad financial decisions, nothing is going to change. Pushing it off on future generations of taxpayers is NOT the answer. How are they going to be able to afford their own homes when they have to pay high taxes to pay off the irresponsibility of previous generations?

Here here! I second that. We'll call it, "Putting the toothpaste back in the tube". Difficult but I do believe it is the best way to go. Justice will be served and we do want justice.
